The children are enjoying the change from swimming to gymnastics. We had a very creative session looking at bridges and working these into a routine. All children listened to their partner and shared their ideas to creative a sequence which we then critiqued. Well done 5K.
Today, we have been pushing ourselves to become even better leaders of our own learning and development. We’ve spoken about: what a pledge is; different kinds of pledge that we could set ourselves; how we could achieve and evidence sucess with any pledges we do set; and finally, each child in the class set themsleves a personalised promise – I hope they can keep them.

For every night children spend on frog learning, they will receive a ticket into our Easter draw and winners will be selected on the last day of term to win a variety of prizes! 6B completed the 5p challenge and so we spent some of our winnings on a KFC dinner treat! I’m sure you can see how excited they all are! Let’s see who the second class is to win £50 for a class treat! (All other money goes towards the London fund).
We have had a fabulous time at crucial crew today and we’ve learnt lots of vital lessons! The children are excited to share the lessons they have learnt with you!

Yesterday, year 6 created descriptions of their chosen creature from Disney’s Pandora! Here they are using model descriptions and photos to inspire their work! I am really impressed with their vocabulary choices and I am so excited to continue with this writing!
We have had a busy week this week in Year 3 and 4. On Tuesday afternoon, we held our first Parent’s Information / Family Learning Event. It was well attended and we had the opportunity to share how to support children with times tables and reading at home. Parents then got the chance to try a few activities for themselves with their children.
We have been busily working on completing our High Energy Expedition work all week, which is now with the Graphic Designer, Rick. We look forward to seeing what our amazing Chocolate Information Boards are going to look like.
Finally, we had NSPCC Number Day on Friday, when we came to school dressed in a number and had a day of maths investigations and learnt some important messages about staying safe.
We are the KS2 attendance winners this week meaning we have £10 in our class attendance pot! Thank you to parents/carers for supporting us and to 6B for coming to school every day this week! Let’s hope we win again next week and build that money up!
