What to do if…? Some frequently asked questions

With the huge amount of information and  changing guidelines, it is understandable that the school’s procedures around Covid-19 can seem confusing.

In the first instance, if a child shows any of the following symptoms, parents must keep them away from school and ensure that they are tested:

  • A new, continuous cough (where you cough a lot for more than an hour, or have three or more coughing episodes in 24 hours)
  • Fever – where your temperature is above 37.8C
  • Loss of smell or taste

In addition, the table below includes specific details about what to do in different situations for anyone else in their household (for instance, if a sibling shows symptoms.)

Please contact school if you have any questions.

1M off to a fab start!

I think we can easily say our class like CHips! The superstars working hard in phonics and maths.

The children have continued to WOW us with their painting skills- do you know which famous artist’s collage they are recreating? We can’t wait to see their finished piece!

Grown ups of all KS1 classes… please bring in any learning or photos of your child during lockdown and Summer for it to go up on our ‘Home Learning’ wall in the shared area. We can then celebrate and showcase their learning and activities they did during this time!

Thanks, Mr Meade 🙂

Our First Week in KS1

Hi Everyone,

It was fabulous to have the children back last week.  They have started to settle into their routines really well.  We wanted to share a few of our moments with you.  I think you will agree that their happy faces show how much they have enjoyed being back.  We have tried to include as many children as possible in the video, however, we do not have photo consents for everyone, so if you cannot see your child and are happy for them to be on our blog please let us know.

We are crew!

A huge shoutout to 6B! I am so proud of you all this morning! They have spent the morning researching inspirational people to name our crew after. They have learnt so much about so many inspirational people! They then had to select who they felt the most passionately about and present their arguments to the rest of the crew. It’s not always easy to stand up in front of people but they all did such a fantastic job! Look back later in the week to see the reveal of our new crew name!

Lots of creativity

Not only have the children settled in well during their play sessions they have produced some wonderful work.

A big shout out today to Ravija for choosing his areas of learning and joining in with learning on the carpet. Well done Ravija. We are very proud of you.

Thank You Y1M Superstars!

Children, I would just like to say a gigantic thank you! What a great week we have had getting to know each other.

Each day you have shown brilliant enthusiasm, creativity and most importantly kindness to all your fellow class crew. We’ve had the odd bump and accident (including me sitting on my laptop!), however I am overwhelmed by your sheer bravery and resilience.

Lets have a fab Friday to finish our first week together!

Thank you grown ups for your understanding and communication this week too. If you have any questions, concerns or just want a general (socially distanced) chit chat, please feel free to let me know at the end of the day.
