Thank you for joining me online again today. There has been more amazing learning and you keep blowing me away with the effort you are putting in to your work. Thank you!

A shout out today for Scarlett and Shayen (again!), who have produced excellent information posters about Samuel Pepys. Well done guys!  Scarlett, you get our virtual Praise postcard for today. Amazing work!

Keep that great learning coming in. The more learning you send me, the more chance you have of appearing on the blog!

See you all tomorrow.

Super summarises!

Year 6 have been busy this morning- summarising the first chapter of our anchor text! The children are well and truly hooked in and they were gutted we stopped at chapter one. We had the challenge of summarising the chapter in the fewest possible words. We then critiqued our work on Jamboard. I am so impressed with how hard you have all been working on this activity! I can’t wait to read on tomorrow!

4. Read the oi questions. Can you write your answers as sentences? e.g. Can a duck quack? Yes a duck can quack.
5. Can you use the oi grapheme and make up any silly questions of your own? I can’t wait to see your photos. I will try my best to answer your silly questions too!

Tuesday’s maths – grouping and sharing

Tuesday’s maths
Practising counting in equal groups and adding them together
In this lesson, we will explore how to create equal groups using concrete and pictorial representations, before adding them together to find the total.
Watch the video.
There is a sheet with examples after the video.
Can you extend your learning? If you are working on green level objectives, ask your adult to put animals into the fields but make a mistake. Can you spot the mistake? Explain to your adult why it is incorrect.

This is the video link.

Rain!

We’ve had the snow and now come the warnings of lots of rain and possible flooding! Please stay safe everyone and take it steady on any essential journeys you have to make.

We are online as usual today with more live lessons. All of the links, lesson slides and activities are in the Google Classroom for each class. We hope to keep seeing as many people on the live lessons as we have been doing. It is fabulous to see the level of engagement that we have had so a huge shout out to all pupils, parents and carers for keeping the standards high.

Remember there is the esafety poster competition that is still running so there is still time to have your entries done and handed in. The slides links are in the classroom under yesterday’s date.

Have a great day!

Fabulous learning.

After another day of great learning, we made brilliant progress in reading analogue clocks to the quarter past. A huge shout out to everyone for their efforts in doing this. We also had an entry into the esafety poster competition already. Remember to have yours done and sent in by Wednesday. A shout out to Shayen for this clever idea. You also earn the Praise postcard for yesterday’s learning. Well done Shayen!

Keep that learning coming in!
