Stay Active and Work Hard

Children in school and at home have been keeping active and working hard today in Maths, English, Phonics and PE 🙂

Remember tomorrow afternoon at 2pm we have our Plover Praise Party and Disco! It would be amazing to end the week with every child in KS1 online for it! 🙂

Pride of Plover too in the morning for someone who is regularly accessing their learning and showing the Plover Pledge… make sure you check in at 9am to find out if it is you!

Great reasoning in maths

Well done Hasty for being a maths whizz this afternoon. You did some fantastic number work, counting in tens. I was especially proud of how you spotted the pattern in the numbers and coached your friends in how to order multiples of ten.

Amazing day

A shout goes to Marnie today. She has had a brilliant first day back in school and has been very helpful and caring. She has worked hard and has made a unicorn horn.

Well done Marnie

Plover postcard winners in years 5&6

Well done again years 5&6 for a fabulous day of online learning. I particularity enjoyed our scavenger hunt online this morning, finding multiples of our 7 times tables! Thank you to parents /siblings for supporting your children to join in with this activity during crew! We will continue to work on improving our times tables as a phase crew target next week!

The following children have really impressed their teachers today and therefore have won the Plover postcard:

-Munzer, for fabulous progress in maths today.

-Ella G, for working hard to achieve her ME in maths.

-George, for always giving 100% and being extremely fast with his times tables this morning!

-Ruby, for being a little ray of sunshine and always striving to achieve her ME’s

-Jenson, for always leading his own learning and challenging himself to be the best version of himself!

Well done you lovely lot. As a celebration of your hard work, tomorrow, during Plover praise time, we will be having a virtual film night between 2-3pm. Children in school are welcome to bring their PJ’s to change into in the afternoon and children at home, of course you can be in your PJ’s too! We hope to see you all there!

Awesome critique and green pen work on Jamboard!

I must give a shout out to all of the lovely year 6’s who have been working hard, peer and self critiquing their reading comprehension answers using Jamboard. I am extremely impressed with the effort Harrison and Chriso have put in to not only giving their friends very specific critique but also for acting on the feedback they had been given and editing it in green pen on Jamboard! I am so proud of you both and it has been great to see that other year 6’s are now acting on their feedback using the green pen too! Well done superstars and please keep it up!
