Number movers

1M enjoyed moving and counting in our maths meeting. They then liked using pasta as manipulatives to group 2Digit numbers into groups of 10. #LovePlover

KS1 Pride of Plovers 🌟

A huge well done to all our yellow T-shirt winners in year one and year two. It is clear to see how proud they all are and what great roles models they’ll be next week.
1M – George always tries his best, has been to school everyday this week, completed all his home learning and been trying really hard with his reading.
1N – Anywn was ill last week, however this didn’t stop her working hard as she completed all her home learning pack and has continued that same hard work in school this week.
2P – Mia always produces exceptional work, but this week her final write is just phenomenal. Future author in the making?
2B – Roscoes confidence and effort in class has grown so much this week. As well as producing some excellent home learning. Keep it up buddy!

TGB Thursday in Crew

In academic crew this morning Crew Meade have been developing their phonics and reading skills on reading eggs.

We have celebrated another 100% attendance for all our crew today, so fingers cross we win some crew cash tomorrow if we get another 100% tomorrow.

It is brilliant to see a lot of our crew have been reading at home and completed their homework from yesterday!

Leading their own Learning at Home

Check out Hasty’s awesome animal report, Casey’s beautiful recycled jellyfish and purposeful poster, and Oscar’s brilliant mini-beast habitat and sea habitat projects.

Again, we are blown away by how immersed children are to continue their learning at home relating to our expedition… They are starting to really think about – “How will what I do today to impact the world tomorrow?”

Year 1 Updates on Home learning

Hi KS1 grown ups,

Just a reminder following on from last weeks paper slip.

  • Phonics reading books and plastic book bags to be read and brought in daily.
  • Boggledy book and cotton beige bags to be brought in every TUESDAY – to read for pleasure as an aspirational book.
  • 12 high frequency word spellings have been given out today for children to practise everyday as there will be a little test on Friday.
  • Literacy and Maths work sheets will be given on a Wednesday and Thursday. These are to be returned on a Friday.
  • Freckle and Reading Eggs are fantastic online platforms to develop fundamental skills and we will be monitoring time spent on these 🙂

Prizes and rewards will be awarded to children who are completing these tasks!

All of the above are to support your child’s education at home, along with the learning they do every day in school which their reports shared last week in the pledges section.

Thank you for your continued support! #LovePlover
