We are Geographers… children learnt about the negative impact global warming is having on climate change. They answered questions, asked questions, shared ideas and had discussions about the matters. We then investigated what would happen to the glaziers and polar habitats
What a fantastic trip to XP the digital leaders had today. We worked together to unpick what a good digital leader looks like and what they would be able to do to help teachers throughout the school.
Crew Meade were delighted to have not one… but two yellow T-shirt winners this week! Huge shout outs to Ruben and Nevaeh for your awesome learning last week. #LovePlover
Well done to the winners of the Air Pollution posters. The winning posters were decided by Doncaster Council and the children were presented with a brand new scooter and a helmet. A big thank you to all the children who designed posters; it was a hard decision to make.
Year 1 absolutely loved the activities this morning organised by the council and Miss Lister, even during the snowy conditions! They cycled, made smoothies, learnt circus tricks and played the floor is lava!
Our children want to help save the planet and have learnt about how we can do this by cutting down our emissions and walking or doing exercise to come to school. #LovePlover
In 2B we are so grateful to Doncaster council for the activities we enjoyed this afternoon. Even the cold snow couldn’t stop us! Look how happy and excited we are – fresh air can do wonders. Thank-you to those of you who walked, scooted and biked to school today, you’re only little but you’re making a big difference. We enjoyed circus skills, healthy smoothies (that we had to make by pedalling a bike!), playing the floor is lava and biking. Bobby even got his bike booked in for a service and clean up!
I’m super proud of Vivan, Seb and Bobby today who have really impressed me by working hard. Bobby blew me and Miss Todd away with his knowledge of fractions and Vivan has impressed me with his reading. Seb, your underwater habitat is being displayed in our shared area for everyone to see, I hope you loved making it as much as I loved seeing it!
Children practised writing some awesome, funny and serious headlines yesterday in preparation of their writing opportunity today for their news report! Check out Amazing Atlas who has used alliteration…#LovePlover
Ahead of World Book Day, which is held on Thursday 3rd March, we would like to invite all children to make a book character from a toilet roll tube (or something of an equivalent size that you have at home). You can bring them into your class on World Book Day and one child from each phase will win a special prize! Below are some photos that might give you some inspiration but please let your imaginations run wild! We can’t wait to see your creations! #LovePlover
