We are artists and today’s collaborative task in expedition was to use plastic bottles, lids, bags and other types of materials (rubbish) to do some art attack. The children worked well with the colours they could find to make a clown fish with white stripes and an orange tail. #LovePlover

Learning fractions in maths
Today we used bread to cut and help us make fractions. We were learning about 1/2 and that 1/2 of something has 2 equal parts. Guys you were awesome!!!!
Expedition, Halving and Big Talk
1M have been working hard today building back ground knowledge about our final case study and final product – recyclable art.
In maths we were getting smart by working out what half of numbers, objects and quantities.
This afternoon children have had a Big Talk about personal safety. Then enjoyed a fun PE lesson! #LovePlover
Work Hard, Get Smart, Be Kind
The children who have been working hard at home doing their homework were rewarded with a cookie and milkshake! Well done to Atlas and Bobby who are getting smart by reading regularly at home and have won reading certificates! Elian has been working hard this week with his phonics and writing and thoroughly deserved a Plover praise postcard. Thank you to Nelson and Edy who have been so kind and generous and donated food hampers for families of Ukraine!
