Thursday 23rd April

Morning all,

I hope you are well on what is, yet again, another fine morning.

I am not in our Google Classroom over the next two days but I will be checking my emails every so often – so if you need anything, you can still email me. Just be mindful that it might take me a little longer to reply to you.

I am aware that some of you have lost or forgotten your TTRockstars logins so they have been uploaded to our classroom.

I am also aware that this is the case for many of you with Frog Learning too – we’re on that, trying to sort it out but please bare with us – it’s not as easy as TTRockstars.

Shout outs to Luca and Cailey for taking part in the loo roll challenge and sending in your videos.  Thank you,  you’re both superstars!

Keep smiling

Hi Guys…Me AGAIN :)

Tomorrow is Pyjamarama Day (I think that’s how you spell it) and we can’t have a day go by without challenging you to something – so, along with the toilet roll video, we’d also like you to take a photograph of yourself reading in your pjs.  Send us your pics and they be cleverly converted into something special.

Speaking of something special, or rather someone…Captain Tom Moore has his 100th birthday tomorrow.  Have any of you made him a card or thank you message that you’d like to share with him?  If so, send them across too.

Calling All Loo Rolls…

Guys – it’s that time again, I need your help!

Miss Blackham has requested for as many of us as possible to take part in the toilet roll video challenge. ‘What on Earth is she on about…again?’ many of you may be thinking.

Well, basically, Miss Blackham wants us to video ourselves catching a toilet roll that has been thrown at us from off screen, do our own ‘little thing’ with the loo roll for a few seconds and then throw it off screen again. Videos need to be emailed to Miss Blackham (or me and I can forward them on for you) by 4pm tomorrow at the latest.

Pretty please – with a cherry on top – get involved I miss all of your faces and would love to see them!

I’m plotting my ‘little thing’ with the loo roll at the moment…notice how I chose the word ‘plotting’? Mwah ha ha ha!  Be sure to check the video out when it’s complete to see what mischief I can cause!

May the 1st is pyjamarama day!

On May 1st we would LOVE you to get involved in pyjamarama day and spend the day in your PJs sharing books and reading!  Please share your photos with your fave books in your pjs to [email protected]

There is also going to be a prize for the most creative way of reading at home! I’m definitely going to be including my pugs in my photo! Have a think of what you could do for your photo!

Keep engaging 5/6 we are so proud of you!

Wednesday 22nd April

Good morning 6H,

I hope you awoke this morning to the sound of the birds singing and the sun reaching around the edge of your curtains.  That’s one of the best ways to start to a day.

I am really pleased with the amount of you who are checking in daily.  Please remember to keep this up as it is really important that I know you are safe and well.

Shout outs to both Cailey and Dominik for engaging with the Hook Week Activity Menu. Well done guys.

I’d also like to give shout outs to everyone who has been submitting Maths and English work this week – I hope you like this new book.

Don’t worry that we didn’t get to finish our previous text – I’m going to try and video myself reading the rest of it (a chapter at at time) and upload it to our classroom.  Please notice how I said TRY.

More hook week fun!

Well done to these superstars! Luke and Liam have made awesome Greeks out of toilet rolls. I am very impressed! Charlie has been creating a range of decorative and detailed posters on different areas of the Greeks. Zara has been helping her Dad in the kitchen and the food looks awesome! Ruby R has been working on her weekly maths challenges and Ruby J has drawn a stunning Greek vase and dressed her little brother up as Zeus! How fabulous does he look!

I would like to give a further shout out to 6B for being awesome and engaging with the tasks set online. I am so proud of you all! Please keep it up.

PS, tomorrow is the deadline for the toilet roll challenge, don’t miss out on being on Fridays feel good Friday video!

Maddison, Lucas and Lewis have been developing new skills this afternoon, learning how to animate a short film using stop-frame animation – the same technique used to make the Wallace and Gromit films!

I think you will agree that their first attempt is pretty impressive!

Toilet Roll Tuesday?

Good morning 6H,

It was so good to hear from so many of you yesterday.  I was really pleased to hear what you have been up to over the last couple of weeks.

Have you had a go at doing the toilet roll challenge that Miss Blackham has set? If not, be sure to send her a video of you catching a random toilet froll from off camera, having a boogie with it or doing some kick ups etc. then throw it off screen again. (This is also my challenge for this afternoon.) If you get your video to her by Thursday lunch, you may find yourself a star of the screen along with many other Plover staff and students.

I look forward to hearing from you all again today.

Keep smiling
