Today, we have enjoyed dressing up like scientists. We have had a fun lesson making digestive system aprons. We’ve also really enjoyed watching ‘Inside Out’ this afternoon. Well done for a great hook week 3T. #LovePlover

Dressing up day
Don’t our children look super dressed up like scientists?! We are looking forward to a fun filled day!

What a Wonderful World
Before Easter we completed our expedition by recording our Plover version of the song ‘What a Wonderful World!’ We will be using this in the celebration of our Spring Expedition in May but we thought you would like a sneak peak. You can watch it on Youtube here:
We have also completed giant collaborative artwork for our final product, The Great Wave.

We decided to delay celebrating our expedition until all children had returned to school, to ensure that they could all contribute to the Final Product- I am so glad we did as the result is fantastic.

We are scientists in LKS2
We have had great fun in LKS2 during Hook Week and we can’t wait until our dress up as a scientist/medic day tomorrow.
As well as getting creative to immerse our classrooms for our new theme “How do we make Doncaster more Healthy?”, we have developed our inner scientist, learning about animals and humans.
We have researched and learnt how to classify animal species and played a giant game of Tag to learn about food chains
I have spoken to so many children who have been really excited about our new expedition and cannot wait to find out more.
I look forward to seeing what this expedition has in store!

Plover Praise
Congratulations to Tommy, Katie – May, Carys and Caziyah for your recognition today. Miss Goodwin is so impressed with your hard work over hook week! Keep up the super work #LovePlover

Skeleton fun!
3T have really enjoyed a variety of activities today. Our children started the day by finishing and presenting their classification posters to their peers. They then moved on to skeleton building and had fun linking the skeleton together. We’ve also started painting some bottles to look like teeth for our giant mouth! What a super day! We are really looking forward to dressing up as scientists tomorrow for the final day of hook week! #LovePlover
Food chains and animal classification
We really enjoyed our activity today on food chains and animal classification. We played a game outside to help us to understand food chains and collaborated together to classify the animals. Well done 3L.
Animal Classification and Food Chains
This morning, 3T have been learning about how to classify animals. Using ChromeBooks, non fiction texts and fact sheets they have found new facts about the animals they have been classifying and are working on posters to present to the class. The children have also been learning about food chains and played a fun game to teach them how food chains work. #LovePlover

Great collaboration!
Well done 4G , you worked really well together this afternoon to create life size skeletons that we will use to enhance our classroom.
Great teamwork and problem solving working out how you were going to do it.
Your mini bodies are looking really good too – I can’t wait to get them turned into bunting to hang across the room.
Thank you Darcy for being the roving photographer!
Keep it up!
