Good Morning!
Unfortunately, due to staff isolating, our trip to the woods is being postponed until September. Thanks to everyone who offered to come along but we will be staying in school.

So, we hadn’t planned on learning online this late in the year, but I am so proud of 4G for the way they have embraced the learning today.
They have completed maths activities about shape and done research about making Doncaster healthy.
We had a giggle with the emoji quiz this afternoon and then we all got active with Mr Meade.
Well done guys, I am very proud of your positive spirits!
See you in the morning!

I’m really sorry that today had to end the way it did, but I am sure we will not let it get us down.
Our learning is going online, so log onto Google Classroom in the morning and I will share the Google Meet code with you so I can explain the learning for the day – we are going to be using or voices for activism!
If you need a chrome book, please ring school and arrangements can be made.
So I will see you all in the morning, take care!

This morning, we had the privilege of being invited to Markham Main Memorial to honour our hardworking key workers, who have supported our communities through the pandemic. It was a beautiful morning and Morrison’s kindly gave us some treats to take back to class.

F2S enjoyed tasting lots of different fruits last week. I am proud to say everyone tried every single fruit and lots came back for seconds, thirds and even fourths!
I think lots of children were surprised at how many fruits they liked. Pineapple and mango were very popular. Which was your favourite?
Today was the first of the Year 4 gardening sessions run by We Can Grow. Children who regularly attended the Thursday after school club were very lucky to be selected to take part in the scheme that will see parts of the school transformed by plants and vegetables.
Today, the children have marked out their planting area and planted some peas. They have learnt how important it is to water the plants and will be continuing to look after the plants throughout the week.

We have been learning about pairs in maths. We can sort objects into pairs and some of us can count in 2s too. We went on a hunt for pairs around school. There were lots!

As part of our Healthy Eating week we have had a delivery of different fruits to try. Today we have tasted blueberries and kiwis. We loved the hairy feel of the kiwis and the taste made us pull funny faces. The blueberries were a big hit too. I wonder

A massive thank you to Mrs Kibble for providing the fruit for today’s fruit tasting. The most popular fruit in 4L was definitely pineapple and the class were blown away by how tasty pomegranates are.

One of the things we have been finding difficult was using a knife and fork at dinner time so we practiced in crew.
We really enjoyed the pancake!

There was some good cutting skills shown today and some lovely manners too.
We will check at dinner time next week to see if we have remembered.
