We are scientists!

6B are really enjoying the first case study in this Expedition. They have become fantastic scientists. Today they had a challenge of making muddy water as clean as possible using a range of equipment. They had to use their knowledge of solids, liquids and gasses to decide the best process to make the water as clean as possible. Great team work and resilience was shown by all! Well done superstars!

This morning in English, we looked at one of our anchor texts- ‘Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets’. The children really enjoyed this reading session and enjoyed reading around the text. We had some great class discussion!

We are Scientists!

Year 6 were superb scientists this week. Exploring states of matter with water (using transfiguration transformations) resulted in cold hands and chocolatey mouths. Oh, and we learnt lots of new vocabulary too like sublimation!
