It’s been another great day and I have read some wonderful Tudor acrostic poems.
Shout outs go to Mohamad, Corey, Agrima, Nastazja and William for their excellent poem and to Shyaw, Nik, Ashton and Zeynep for great Maths. Even more shout outs go to Troy and James for their wonderful Expedition work. Well done to all of you, this Plover Posse Award is for you.

The twists and turns of Elliot’s journey are about to get a little more extreme as the Gods move into Bessie’s cow shed. What will they get up to? Will they help Elliot and Virgo find the Earth Stone before Thanatos or Hypnos get their grubby little mits on it? And what on Earth is Horse’s-Bum up to? She can’t be trusted that one – that’s for sure!
I’m totally hooked on this story and am soooooo close to finishing it. I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am!

Today we’re going to continue with our grammar work and find out about another Tudor Explorer in reading. We are continuing our work on data interpretation in Maths and today we will write our Tudor acrostic poem. In our Expedition learning we are going to look at what life was like for Tudor sailors, I wonder, is it a job you would like to do?
Make sure you head on over to your online classroom and make a start on today’s learning after completing the daily check in.

I hope you managed to access, complete and send off (if appropriate) your transition learning last week.
This week it is back to English learning but there is no Maths. Instead of your Maths learning, you will see a week-long project that Miss Blackham would like you to complete. The presentation that she would like you to create needs to be detailed and creative – try to make it some of your best work ever! We want to share your journeys with our sister XP schools. Your presentation needs to reflect your time at Primary school – it doesn’t matter if you have been to different primaries other than Plover either – read the slides she has put together and develop you presentation over the course of this week. I look forward to seeing them.

Two more weeks to go! I hope you all had a lovely weekend despite the miserable weather.
This week we are going to start looking at Tudor Explorers but start today looking at a famous Tudor ship, the Mary Rose. Today you’ll be able to take a virtual tour of the Mary Rose and find out why it was so important.
There’s plenty more to be doing in our online classroom so make sure you let me know how you are feeling before making a start on today’s learning.
