TUESDAY 24TH SEPTEMBER is ‘come to school in your pyjamas and bring a teddy to School day’ for F1 and F2.
The children should arrive at school in their pyjamas and also bring their teddy bear (or favourite soft toy if they do not have one).
We will still be playing outside so they will need outdoor shoes and their coat as normal.
We are looking forward to a special, snuggly day making happy memories together!
Please come and ask your child’s teacher if you need any further information.
Best wishes,
Mrs Bubb, Mrs Price, Mr Meade, Mrs Williams and all the EYFS staff 🙂
Researching the Sun in 6B
This afternoon 6B did a great job in their expedition lesson researching lots of facts about the Sun and collaborating everything they learnt into these beautiful posters! Keep it up!

We’ll meet again! (I promise)
3H were evacuated to Barton-upon-Humber on Tuesday. Parents waved us on our way as we left the city of Doncaster with gas mask boxes, name cards and packed lunches in hand. On our arrival at Wilderspin School, we met our billeting officer – Naomi – who showed us where we would have to stay and told us what would be expected of us as a child in 1940’s Britain. She then gave us a stereotypical 1940’s school experience where we heard Princess Elizabeth’s speech to the nation during this difficult time.
Later, Ian taught us all about Churchill’s Cogs. It’s fair to stay that 3H didn’t realise quite how difficult life was for children during World War Two.
What a fabulous day!

Competitive Crew Commando Joe Challenges
Year 3 had great fun on Friday afternoon when they had to work in crew teams to complete the challenges set for them. Communication was key; some of us were great at this, whilst others needed to learn share the air or to listen with more care. Once this was achieved, we were able to work much more effectively as crews and in doing so, we learnt a lot about each other too!
Well done, Year 3. Remember to continue communicating clearly and working to your strengths.

Anti-littering Activism in 3H
3H have spent time looking at a range of different anti-littering posters today. They critiqued the examples we gave them, pointing out the strong elements as well as areas which could be even better! Then designed their own. Some very thoughtful suggestions were made about why it is so important to make sure we ‘Bin it, don’t drop it!’
Well done guys. You were fab for Miss Wood this morning and worked so hard with me this afternoon too!
Also, I hope you enjoyed the time you spent with the graffiti artist…just look at your finished product! WOWEE! Please, please, please 3H, take your parents, carers and/or other adults who collect you from school around to see the wall you helped to paint. It really is a piece of art to be proud of and you’ll have your mark on the building forever! Imagine when you’re grown up and bringing your own kids to Plover…You could say, “I did that!”

Crazy colour fun in 3H!
Whilst getting to know each other today, 3H (mainly the adults) had their memories truly put to the test as we tried to remember everyone’s favourite colour. The children were amazing, the adults, well…a little more practice is definitely required!
Solving the problem of how to pass the ball without using your hands showed that you already know how to work together to overcome a problem! Check you out 3H! Let’s make this year an awesome one together!
