Ara has really enjoyed our shared book, The Last Polar Bear. He has listened carefully and asked questions about new words in order to expand his vocabulary. Well done Ara. Keep up the great work!

Good afternoon,
Children and staff are really looking forward to the trip on Thursday. During our trip, please can we stress that children are to be in school uniform. However, children will need to wear appropriate outdoor footwear as we will be outside most of the day. It is due to rain so even if children wear wellies, this is absolutely fine, along with an appropriate (or waterproof) coat. Court shoes for the girls will not be appropriate. Any questions, please ask.
Thank you,
Year 3/4 Teachers.

Good afternoon,
Just a quick note to inform parents and carers. Year 4 P.E day remains a Wednesday for this half term. Please can children ensure they always have a P.E kit on that day as we had lots of children who consistently had no kit last term. This will be indoor P.E so correct kit needs to include appropriate indoor footwear (separate to school shoes), a white T-shirt and navy shorts.
Thank you,
Miss Wood and Miss Lotysz.

A huge well done to our postcard winners for today! A huge turn around for Oliver and making brilliant choices all day! And a big pat on the back to Frazer, Eshal and Zofia for doing brilliantly on their HoWLs. Keep up the great work!

Every great CD has great cover art, and that is what we have been working on during Hook Week.
We used a new medium – oil pastels – Â and created an aurora borealis inspired skyscraper, in the style of the front cover of the Last Bear – our key text.
Using blending, we were able to create the beautiful shades. Critique helped us to improve and I was so proud at how the children were resilient and tried again and again to get better.

On Friday, we came dressed up as inspirational musicians to help up immerse in music through the decades.
To top it off, Year 3 and 4 children were taught by the Spice Girls all day!
Our 3rd Case Study has a music driver and our final product will be to write, perform and record a charity music single.

The children all looked fantastic on Friday, with the fantastic costumes they came dressed up in for dress as a pop star day. They were excited to listen to music from different eras and were surprised they knew some of the songs from ‘the olden times!’

During hook week the children loved creating a CD cover design using oil pastels. They did a beautiful job blending the colours and carefully drawing a polar bear to complete the design.

4BW looked fabulous today dressing up as their favourite pop star. We had lots of fun critiquing and researching music throughout the decades.
