Segregation

Over the last 2 weeks we have been learning about ‘Segregation.’ We have looked at how this feels to gain an understanding of the word, we have painted pictures how this will look and we have spoken about this in different contexts within our key texts about ‘Rosa Parks’ and recently about ‘Martin Luther King.’ Well done 2P!

Well Done Anna

Miss Clarke awarded Anna a Plover Praise postcard for her fantastic story telling during her NELI intervention. #LovePlover

Maths is fun – Repeating Patterns

After completing their independent tasks. 1M enjoyed using the manipulatives to make their own repeating patterns.

Is it a shape pattern? Is it a colour pattern? Is it a size and positional pattern? Or is it a mixture?

We would love to see some repeated patterns made at home!

It’s Week 2 Already!?

I just wanted to say how proud I am of 2B! This past week we have been lucky enough to have Mrs Coward come and help me teach some English and she has been blown away! It makes me so proud to hear other staff say how far children have come along, especially as I didn’t know any of 2B until the summer. I have been loving seeing quieter children contribute to class discussions and being so brave reading in front of all their friends. I have also had comments from lunchtime staff about how good our manners are. That is part of being kind and is so important! Well done 2B, how lucky am I to have the best class at Plover!

Also a massive thank-you to parents and children for attendance, I had a look at the data on Friday and I’ve got lots of children with 100%! Keep this up and we’ll win more money to spend on something fun and exciting at the end of term! (We’ve won £15 so far!).

Thank-you to Olivias Mum for the delicious cakes on Friday! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and I will see you tomorrow!
