Thank you to the grown ups who came in on Thursday afternoon to share some learning with their children as part of our Diwali slice. We made Divas candles, Diwali decorations, Barfi sweets, Diwali lanterns and Rangoli patterns. #LovePlover

F2 Pride of Plovers
Well done to Ali and Sulayman who both show great respect, integrity and manners when at school. They work hard and always follow instructions to get smart in their learning! #LovePlover
Barfi sweets – are they delicious?
Yesterday we made Barfi but it needed to set. The children were excited to taste it today. I was very impressed with F2BP as they all tried it. Not everyone liked it. Some children said it was delicious and very sweet.

Keeping our minds healthy for Mental Health day
Thank you to all those children who wore something yellow. This morning we talked about how to keep our minds healthy. We discussed feelings, controlling our breathing, getting fresh air and being good friends.
We got lots of exercise at outside time where we reminded ourselves that fresh air and exercise can help our minds be healthy.

Diwali family learning
Thank you to all the families who came to join us today. We had lots of fun making sweets, creating window catchers, lanterns and firework pictures. We had lots of paper chains too and some children have made them ready for their Christmas trees.

Secret Kindness Messages
We spoke about kindness and integrity and had helpful heroes spot children being good and kind in provision. Those children received a kindness message from the spies. #LovePlover
We are readers crew… sharing a story with EYFS
I am so proud of our lovely Year 6’s who were fantastic role models for our EYFS pupils during our time to read crew. The children absolutely loved reading the younger children a story and we can not wait to continue reading to our new buddies every half term!

We are kind!
Today, in Expedition, we wrote special notes to ourselves! We reminded ourselves that having integrity is doing the right thing, even if nobody else sees. So, with that, we reminded ourselves how important it is to proud of ourselves and say well done to ourselves. We all wrote a postcard to ourselves! Everyone had a smile on their face and felt a bit good about themselves. Let’s do more of this!
