Having had our expert baker in this morning teach us how to bake a cake. We made our own cake this afternoon. The children used some brilliant descriptive language for the mixture: squidgy, slimy, sloppy, gooey. Then we popped it in the oven and we’re happy with the outcome! #LovePlover

Expert Cake Maker
Thank you to Grandma Shereen, our expert baker who helped bake a cake with F2 this morning. We used ‘Its my birthday’ book to help get the correct ingredients. Then our book ‘Cake’ to make and decorate our cake. #LovePlover
Making Houses in Maths
Today we looked at shapes in a house. We noticed a square and triangle. Using lolly pop sticks we made our houses. 4 sticks to make the square and 3 sticks to make the triangle for a roof. #LovePlover
Travelling Games in PE
This morning we did PE in the hall in our pumps. We used different actions to travel in a variety of ways. We play the DVD game, cakes and spoons tag game and cross the river. Focussing on our agility, balance and coordination. Outside it was great to see children practising their throwing and target skills. #LovePlover
Making faces
One of the things that we need to get better at is cutting. Today we practiced our skills and made faces. We talked about what was the same and different.

F2 Pride of Plover
Today we celebrated with Maria and Rahaf. Both girls have grown in confidence since starting F2 and have been working hard. They are good friends to other children and help them too. They have been working super hard in phonics.
Well done Maria and Rahaf. We are proud of you.

Different Families:Same Love
In We Care Crew, we began our learning about families. To kick this off, we played a relay game where each team had to run and find a picture of a family until all our team members had found one. We stuck all the pictures onto a big poster and talked about how all families look a bit different. We discussed how this was okay and that there will be some families with two Mummies, Two Daddies, A Mummy and/or a Daddy, Step-parents, Grandparents, Aunties and Uncles- lots of different families but the same love ❤️
Playground games
We learnt to play duck duck goose. It was lovely to see the children continue playing this in provision. #LovePlover
