A tasty day in F2 today! We felt, tasted and drew a variety of fruit linked to our Expedition text, ‘Handa’s Surprise’.

Trying our best
Three children stood out in their learning today for Craftsmanship and quality.
Emma remembered what she had been learning in maths and challenged herself to draw the Numberblock 8 and then write it.
James made a vets using blocks. He added to his learning using people. He also stood up infront of the whole class to share his learning showing courage.
Liya made a castle and talked about the shapes she had used. She said she could make her model better by adding a king and queen and princesses. She got the little people and added them.
We are so proud of their learning.

Super Subitisers!
Tommy, Rivier and Isla-Grace have been working hard to subitise. Today, they showed they have smashed subitising and can do it easily! They rolled the dice and did not need to count. They then matched the numicon tile ( without counting the circles) to their number block board. They took turns and played by the rules. The first one to cover all their numberblocks was the winner! 🥇 We love playing maths games 🎲
Playing Handa’s Surprise
Today, we played ‘Handa’s Surprise’, after we had read the story. We used blocks to build the path and the trees and then moved the characters around our great big story mat. The cheeky animals kept stealing the fruit and running off with it! We talked and collaborated so we all knew how to play and tell the story. It was fun and Mrs Bubb was so impressed with the story language we were using in our play. Tomorrow, we might steal the fruit so we can have a taste!
F2BP Pride of Plover
Otis was our Pride of Plover today. He is an amazing example of the Plover Pledge. He works very hard and challenges himself in his learning. He is kind to his friends and helps them in their learning. It is such a pleasure having Otis in our class. Well done Otis.

F2M Pride of Plover
A huge well done to Reginald, who we are all immensely proud of! This week he has shown independence to spread his butter on the crackers, other important life skills and great courage to speak and say lots of words! #LovePlover

Blending CVC Words
Well done to Mr Meade’s phonics group who have been working hard and showing courage to blend and read 1.1,1.2,1.3 words – using Fred talk, read the work! #LovePlover

The day Otis’s Daddy brought his big red bus to school!
Bus Expert and Visit
This morning, we had a special visitor in EYFS… not only was he a bus driver with a double decker bus, but he was one of our parents! Thank you to Jack and First Travel f. or visiting us today. The children learnt about what a bus driver does, how the bus moves safely, what journeys the buses go on. Then we got to explore the bus and sing songs! This was some children’s first time on a bus and they were so excited! #LovePlover
