We have been constructing graphs in class. The children loved the challenge of plotting the data and drawing the graph correctly.

As part of maths we were having fun looking at highest common factors – this is the link if your child wants to play at home.
The time is nearly upon us to start thinking about Christmas in school. Many children and adults ask us about cards. Due to the current situation, we have thought about how best to go about the giving and receiving of cards in school this year.
This year, please only send cards to children in your year group bubble (eg 6B, 6H & 6C or 5W & 5K).
From December 1st, children can bring cards and place them in the year group post box. This will be in their classroom. Cards can be dropped in any day up until 11th December.
On 11th December, the post box will close and no further cards can come into school. This will mean all cards will enter a period of quarantine. On Tuesday 15th December, all cards will be given out.
Please ask a member of the 5/6 team if you have any further questions.
Thank you for your support in helping to enjoy the joy of giving and receiving cards, whilst keeping everyone safe.
Please could all parents ensure they pay the £2.90 for the visitor who is coming to school on Monday! Many thanks Year 5/6 team.
I have been blown away by these superstars in their maths learning! I know their teachers are very proud of how hard they have all been working! Well done lovelies!
The children are really enjoying film night! We have had lots of laughs and fun and everyone is now enjoying their hotdogs and drinks and settling down to watch the film 🙂
Next week, on Tuesday, we will be doing games outside for PE. We will be practicing our football skills so your child will need a PE kit with a tracksuit to keep them warm. They will also need a pair of trainers in their bag too. If they have football boots and shin pads they can wear those too however, if they don’t have them don’t worry as the trainers will be enough. They must have a different footwear as the field will be muddy!!!
If your child has asthma, please check they have an inhaler in school and that it is in date.
We have just been looking at the new reading service we have signed up to. Your child can access it from the school website – it is the purple square at the top. When they click on it, they need to sign in using their accelerated reader log in and password. They can then choose what books they want to read.
Just look at these fabulous yellow T-shirt winners from 5/6! They are constantly aiming to achieve 4’s on their HoWLs and we are just so proud of them! Keep it up superstars!
