Y6 booster revision competition!

Y6 boosters have started and we want as many children to engage with them as possible. So, every time your child attends, their names will be put into a draw and the week before SATS, four names will be picked out of the hat to enjoy a meal at TGI Friday’s during the school day! Thank you in advance for your support with the boosters. These will really help your children be the best version of themselves!

Year 5/6 Final Product

On Wednesday 30th November, children in Year 5 and 6 will present their product, a science fair, at XP School. This will be happening from 5pm until 6pm. Letters have been sent to all parents and carers of Year 5 and 6 children. If you are yet to return your letter, please can you do so as soon as possible to let us know that your child is attending and how many places you require on the night. If you have lost the letter, please don’t worry, just speak to your child’s class teacher. We can’t wait to see you there to show you the fantastic learning the children have completed this term! Dodgeball Tournament

Well done to all the children who took part in the Y5/6 dodgeball tournament. Unfortunately, we weren’t victorious but it was a great experience for all of who us took part in our 1st ever dodgeball tournament.

England Rocks – Maths Week

We’re celebrating Maths Week England by taking part in a friendly times tables (and division) competition. The competition runs from 07:30 GMT Monday 14th November to 19:30 GMT Wednesday 16th November. It’s all done online via play.ttrockstars.com.

Children can play in any game mode with every correct answer to a multiplication or division question, earning themselves, their class and the school a point. The Times Tables Rock Stars platform will calculate the class average (the number of correct answers per pupil in the class who play during the competition hours, subject to a daily 60-minute limit (see below)). Winning classes in the school and in the competition as a whole will be the ones with the highest average.

To support player well-being, there is a daily time limit of 60-minutes per player. In other words, each player can earn competition points for up to 60-minutes between 07:30 GMT and 19:30 GMT on 07:30 GMT Monday 14th November to 19:30 GMT Wednesday 16th November. Once the player goes beyond 60-minutes of play on that day, they will still earn coins but will no longer earn points towards the competition.
