Year 5 are very lucky to have had a visit from the museum. The ladies started off with showing us the different clothes worn in the different time periods.

Year 5 have worked incredibly hard this afternoon during their history case study to research different pandemics that have happened throughout history. They are preparing their facts ready to educate others in the class who have learned about a different pandemic. It is great to see how well they are leading their own learning, well done 5T! #LovePlover
A shout out to this fabulous lot for working so hard! We are so proud of you all!

Well done to my SATs revision group today. Some of you could calculate fractions of amounts quicker than I could. Tomorrow you will need to find percentages of amounts faster than I can. I wonder who is up for the challenge? I know William is, as he is revising this skill right now in preparation for tomorrow.

SATs don’t measure sport and SATs don’t measure art,
SATs don’t measure music or the kindness in your heart.
SATs don’t see your beauty, SATs don’t know your worth,
SATs don’t see the reasons you were put upon this earth.
SATs don’t see your magic or how you make others smile.
SATs don’t time how quickly you can run a mile.
SATs don’t hear your laughter or see you’ve come this far,
SATs are just a tiny glimpse of who you truly are.
So sitting at your table, with a pencil and your test.
Remember SATs aren’t who you are,
remember you’re the best!
We are all so proud of each and everyone of you Year 6, you are going to smash your SATs next week!

With only a few days to go before SATs, I could not be prouder of our Y6 pupils. They have been so focussed this morning, looking at a variety of reading SATs questions and pushing themselves to claim maximum marks for the given questions.
Well done everyone!

Crew Blackham and Haycock have collaborated brilliantly this morning to consider what ‘having a good day’ or ‘having a bad day’ looks and feels like. We then considered how we can help each other when our day isn’t as positive as we would hope for.

We will be celebrating better world day on Thursday 5th May (a day early). We are asking children to come into school in blue or yellow and we are asking for voluntery contributions of 50p to raise money to send funds directly into Ukraine to support those in need.
We are also challenging children to take part in better world day by completing acts of kindness to make the world a better place and sharing these acts of kindness to myself- [email protected] so we can share all of the kind and wonderful things you get up to.
Thank you
