Team avalanche!

Team avalanche have really enjoyed the day so far! They have been working hard as a team in knights quest and they have shown great courage on the big swing!

Just a reminder we are only able to upload any photos of children who have their parent’s permission to have photographs via signed consent.

We will be organising something to share all of the photos (as we have taken lots!) ASAP!

Team stream!

Team stream have been working super hard during the knights quest and archery! They have been demonstrating awesome team work and they are having lots of fun!

All the children are really looking forward to eating their tea and participating in even more activities afterwards!

Get ahead of your learning!

6B you have impressed me so much with your resilience in maths the past few weeks. I am so pleased at the response to the challenge I set you last week so I have decided to set another.

Anyone who can bring me evidence that they have been practising their long division skills in preparation for next week can have one shop credit.

Please also see the quizzes I have set for you on frog learning. Have a fabulous weekend 6B, you deserve it!

Rocking the rock climbing!

Waterfall group have had so much fun rock climbing! Every child in the group managed to climb to the top to squeeze the duck!

They are now super excited to be moving on to Piranha pool. The children are keeping everything crossed that they don’t fall in the water and get eaten by the Piranhas!

Year 5 have arrived at Robin Wood!

We have lots of excited children ready to start a fun full day of activities. We have just eaten dinner; the children have made their beds and are super excited to move on to their first activity!

We have taken lots of photos but I am only uploading the ones of children who have permission to be on social media.

Please keep checking our blog for updates and photos!

Year 5 have arrived at Robin Wood!

We have arrived! All the children are super excited and can’t wait to get started after dinner!

I will be uploading photos ASAP- we are just waiting for photograph permission from a few parents.

Please keep checking our blog to see what the children are getting up to!

It’s nearly time to go!

It’s nearly the day at last! The children in 5K and 5B have been very excited about their residential trip and have been counting down all week. Parents do not worry – they will all be fine!

We look forward to seeing them all on Moday to hear about their adventures.

6H’s stars of the day

A massive shout out to two pupils today who have blown our minds.  Savannah Ross and Kyren Milner have had a great day.  In addition to having fab days, they kindly decided to help out the dinner staff by offering to clean the tables and floors for them.  This is something the two children decided to do themselves without prompt from anyone else and I could not be more proud of them.  Well done the pair of you.

Please bring in your plastic bottles!

Please can we ask that parents/carers save any plastic bottles you may have and pass them on to 5/6 teachers. After half-term, years 5&6 children will be going to Armthorpe baths to swim with plastic as part of our writing hook- from the perspective of a sea creature swimming in our seas (letters will be going out shortly).

We need as many bottles as possible to make it as realistic as we can.
Thanks in advance,
the 5 & 6 team 🙂
