We will try again…

The weather forecast is currently looking good later this week, so we will aim to run our stargazing event on Thursday.

Children will need to bring a change of clothes (something comfy and warm) and may bring a blanket, pillow or both so they can get comfy whilst enjoying stories and exploring the night sky.

Can we please remind you that all pupils must be collected by an adult at 9:30pm from the gates by the school field.

There is still time to let us know if your child wants to join us for this event – just let us know by the close of school on Wednesday so we can buy enough burgers and sausages!

Keep everything crossed for us!

We understand why we critique

Discussing and critiquing each other’s writing in pairs has helped us to realise the importance of it: to produce work of the highest possible standard. We have practised being specific with our choice of words and have tried to make sure that we have referred back to our learning targets.

PE Tuesdays!

We had so much fun this afternoon in PE playing team games. Then we had a reflection and a look back on our favourite parts of hook week! Well done to Roscoe today who got the postcard! I will make sure to blog our superstar of the day so we can celebrate their achievements and I apologise to all the children who previously got a postcard from me because I forgot to blog it! Keep bringing in those photos of your real life heroes from home. We’ve had photos of Lena’s Uncle who is a policeman and Khongkwan’s Dad who used to be in the navy! The children were so proud to show us their photos, thanks for bringing them in! I’ve put them onto our display board.

Dinner winners!

Wow, look at all these children who ate all their dinner up today! Keep it up and you’ll soon be bigger and stronger than Miss Wood.

Class cash

Today we earned our first class cash note, well done crew!
We received this for having the highest attendance score. Don’t forget to keep attending school so that we can earn even more class cash to spend on exciting things.

Library books

Today all children have gone home with a library book. These are for you to share together and enjoy at home. Please bring them back next Tuesday so they can be swapped.

Thank you, Miss Wood.

Murton Park Trip

The children absolutely loved our day at Murton Park yesterday. We had a great time making clay candle holders and pretending to be Viking warriors, fighting off invaders with their shields and spears. We even got to dress like Viking families would and had a great time exploring the little Viking village houses. We also had a go at making bread and cooking it near the fire. All children had a great time and we learnt so much more about what is was like to live a day in the life of a Viking.
