1M enjoyed day two of hook week by creating cut out clown fish and decorating them with colourful 3D scales. They then coloured the other side with dark, decrepit colours – why? Pollution!

Welcome back everyone. We had a fabulous first day back in 2P, enjoying our hook week activities. The children really reflected on how what we use in our everyday life affects our planet. Please encourage your child to complete the plastic diary sent home yesterday.

Watch out for the amazing notices and wonders the children are currently writing – some truly awesome work coming your way!
Happy New Year 1M! It was lovely to welcome our children back yesterday, they worked so hard and asked so many questions about our new learning expedition. We collected all the plastic and rubbish from outside to compare what this would feel like for aquatic animals. #LovePlover
Welcome back 2B! New year, new expedition! We have kicked off hook week by exploring our classrooms and shared areas, they look a bit different to how we left them. We have left lot’s of clues for the children to work out what our new expedition might be about. Then, this afternoon we headed outside to look for rubbish. We couldn’t believe the amount of rubbish on the school field! And most of it was plastic!
I asked the children how they would feel if all the rubbish they found was in their home and from their faces – it was disgusted! We started to think about how the creatures of the sea might feel being polluted by so much waste, and how this may affect us. I’m definitely hooked 2B and excited to find out more! Thank-you for a fantastic first day back you all put a huge smile on my face going home today!

The KS1 Crew want to wish our fabulous parents a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. What better way to get you in the mood for Christmas than to see our Nativity. We are so proud of our children, due to illnesses we had many children change roles on a daily basis, this even happened on the day of filming! This just shows how awesome they all are.
A huge thank you to you all for providing costumes for your children, they looked amazing.
Follow the link below for the nativity, sit back, relax and enjoy the show!

We have had a fun filled, full on day… but we have made it. Phew!
What a term it has been, hard working, challenging, exciting… but overall absolutely amazing with our wonderful children!
I would like to wish all 1M children and grown ups a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year, stay safe, have fun and stay awesome.
Thank you for your continued support, cooperation and generosity throughout. As we won the hamper challenge our children were treated to popcorn and a film afternoon, with Atlas’ additional party food – yum!
Enjoy your gifts 1M and see you all in 2022, ready for expedition 2!
