Great to see so many of you have continued learning up to the last day of term, even in isolation.
Paul got very creative after reading Dinosaurs Love Underpants, he made his own dinosaur underpants. How fab do they look 🙂
Looking proud Paul, what an achievement
Lots of fun was had by being creative with 2D and 3D shapes
Ellis had fun getting ready for Halloween
Ellis used Google Draw to illustrate his rhyme
Peyton used Google Draw to create 2D shape pumpkins
Lena got creative
Brooke used a cylinder to create a bat
It has been fabulous to see such a variety of learning taking place. I would like to say a huge ‘Thank You’ to our pupils for being amazing and still learning while at home. I would also like to to say ‘Thank You’ to our parents, I have loved receiving your emails and seeing how much you have supported your child’s learning. Finally thanks to Mr Pickering for making the online lessons happen. I hope you now all have a restful half term break.
After a rather different week in Key Stage 1, we have still been able to do some brilliant learning and produce great work. Here is the Key Stage 1 video to celebrate our learning from the last 2 weeks.
A rather long blog this morning so please stay with me! Today is the last day of a long half term and then you all get a much deserved break. I think we are ready for it!
There are still live lessons for English and Maths today and then there is a quiz for expedition to see how much you have learnt about animal classifications this week. Unfortunately, Mrs Coward won’t be available for live lessons again today but you can use the links below to access your learning.
*Please note, if you are in class 1/2C or 1M, there will not be a live Maths lesson today because 2P are doing a different topic to you. There is a link to your independent maths learning below.*
Here are the links for the google classroom. You may need your school email to login. Remember to click on each task and then on the document that has been attached. After you have done your learning, simply click on ‘hand in’. Try to come to the live lessons if you can, it will make all of the resources make much more sense.
Here is the link for the Expedition Online Learning today. This is a quiz to see how much you have managed to learn about animal classifications this week. It is so easy to understand that it doesn’t really need live lesson to explain it. You can do this at any time today.
It’s been another great day for home learning. I have been particularly impressed with the 2D dinosaurs created. Some children used Google Draw, some created their own artwork using 2D shapes and others used 2D objects found at home.
Thank you so much to everyone who has joined me today and handed in such wonderful learning. I would like to give a shout out to Julita, who has used her pet to help her to learn about how animals are classified. Tim also deserves a shout out for the way he has used his learning this week to sort animals into their classifications.
For the 3rd day running, Johnny also deserves his shout out for all of the learning he has been doing, including the great maths work he has completed.
Well done everyone for a great day and I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow for one last day of learning before half term.
As always today, the live lessons will introduce and take you through your learning but there will also be opportunities for you to lead some of your own independent learning. Unfortunately, Mrs Coward won’t be available for live lessons again today but you can use the links below to access your learning.

Another fabulous day for online learning in KS1. I have to give a ‘Shout Out’ to Ellis, Mia, Brooke, Paul and Isabelle for sending in so much work each day. You are keeping me busy 🙂
It’s also great to see Lyra learning from her animals. A rabbit yesterday, a snake today… I wonder what will be next.
We have had another successful day of learning today and it is time to give some shout outs for brilliant work.
There has been brilliant understanding of using numbers bonds within 10 to help us calculate mentally in maths. Darwin, Syler-Rose, Tim and Luca did amazingly well.
In expedition, there has been lots of independent research to discover if a shark is a fish or a mammal and why. This has led to some great research facts and art work. Another shout out to Johnny and Shayen for these fabulous examples of learning throughout today:
Thank you to everyone who has joined me today and contributed so brilliantly. Well done! I look forward to seeing you all again tomorrow.

It’s really hard to give individual ‘Shout Outs’ for the home learning that has taken place today. Brooke wrote a fabulous story, in addition to the work set.
Many children completed lots of online phonics activities
Paul, Peyton B, Mia, Isabelle,Harry, Olivia, and Brooke have taken in part in all online lessons today. You superstars.
Darcy, Omer, Lena C, Karlie-Rose, Theo, Peyton G, Ellis, Ellie, Lyra and Roman have either completed work on line or taken part in some of the lessons.
