5L were great historians today. They acted as children working 12 hour shifts in factories and then debated over whether they thought this was an acceptable thing for children to do at such a young age.

Athletics in UKS2
Year 5 had a super PE session this morning, in preparation for the upcoming athletics competition. They perfected their hand-eye coordination in doing relay sprints, long jump, speed bounce and chest pushes.

Year 5 have been working on their athletic skills today by practicing a variety of skills. They worked together to do relay races (passing on the baton), long jump, speed jump and chest push with a ball. All children had a go working in teams to complete all of the challenges.

Library visit
5L enjoyed their visit to the library this morning.
Active crew
This morning, Crew Lotysz took part in a yoga session, which helped us to think about our physical and mental health.
Reading for pleasure with 5L!
6B were joined by 5L in our ‘Time to read Tuesday’ session. The children shared their favourite book with a partner and they discussed why it was their favourite book. We then added any new author names we had discovered to our author list ready to explore further!
