Year 5 investigated their knowledge of plant reproduction today by dissecting the parts of a flower. Working in teams, they carefully took apart lilies and labelled each of their reproductive parts on the page. Well done for working hard with great accuracy!

5S are dramatic!
As a hook into our writing about the Amazon Rainforest, children today imagined, then enacted, their senses and emotions as they took a hike through the dense jungle.
Many children were nervous, apprehensive and scared, while others showed excitement for their adventure. It was great to hear you be so descriptive about your range of feelings, I can’t wait to read about them in your diary entries!
Our spelling bee champions!
We are so proud of all of our Year 5 & 6 pupils who have all shown so much courage during this week’s spelling bee. So many of our lovely pupils have been practising their spellings and this was evident this week.
Pictured above are our fantastic finalists who truly deserved their prizes.
Keep practising those spellings everyone. We are already so excited for our Christmas spelling bee and we have lots more amazing prizes to be won!

Our student ambassadors met a special visitor all the way from Australia!

Our student ambassadors had the pleasure of showing Natasha, all the way from Australia, around our lovely school. They loved talking about crew and expedition and sharing beautiful work that their fellow peers produce every day.
Well done ambassadors!

Showing compassion by raising money for the RSPCA outside of school!
We are so proud of these boys who have been raising money outside of school for our crew charity- the RSPCA.
They have been inspired by the discussions we have been having about the RSPCA and they wanted to do their bit. How amazing!
10 crew coins each for being kind!
Keep spreading kindness boys!
