Today, we used base 10 to represent numbers up to 10,000.
4F PE
4F enjoyed a tag rugby session on Wednesday morning. We grappled on how to hold the rugby ball best, ensuring we had firm possession of the ball. We also practiced running with the ball, as well as touching down to score a try.
Great rugby skills in 4GR
Year 4 worked on their rugby skills in PE today with a coach from the Dons team.
Well done to Atlas for having the best celebration after scoring a try.
4GR Wonderful Wilderspin
What a fantastic day we had experiencing what it might have been like for children during World War 2. From evacuation to recycling scrap; school lessons to air raids, we had a great taste of life in the forties and will be able to use the experience throughout this expedition.

Wilderspin trip
This week, year 4 went on a school trip to Wildrespin to experience what it would be like as an evacuee during WWII. We looked at different job roles during WWII, learnt more about The Blitz, as well as experiencing leaving home and attending a new school.
Classroom immersion – Lest We Forget: How does war change lives?
This afternoon, we re-created The Blitz scene by cutting out, or creating our own skyline silhouettes. These silhouettes will look great on our expedition board in the LKS2 hallway!
Blind date with a book
3F picked their favourite book and wrapped it up. On the front of the wrapping, we labelled the reading colour and wrote the first sentence or blurb of the book. We can now add our books to our Crew reading shelf. Would you like a blind date with a book?
Crew team building
Today, year 4 Crews enjoyed going out onto the field and playing some team building games. Well done Crew Farrow for winning the pipe and ball challenge!
We are Crew!
4F enjoyed adding to one of our Crew graffiti walls yesterday. We discussed what Crew means to us, and worked as a team to complete our part of the wall.
