Celebration of Learning

We are looking forward to seeing you at the LKS2 (Year 3 and 4) celebration event at XP East School on Thursday 29th June at 5pm.

We have some wonderful performances to share with you and don’t miss out on the first opportunity to buy our charity postcards.

We are working as scientists.

3H have acted out being solids, liquids and gasses. Then they found out what it was like for a sound wave to travel through these different states of matter. I wonder if your child can tell you which state a sound wave will travel through quickest: a solid, a liquid or a gas? Can they take it a step further and tell you why this is?

Well done 3H. What a day full of scientific fun!

We are so dramatic!

3H have been performance poets this week in preparation for their Presentation of Learning at XP on Thursday. They cannot wait to see you there.

Please remember to send back the reply slip if you haven’t already so we can prepare with everyone who we know will definitely be attending. We wouldn’t want your child to miss out because they haven’t returned their letter.

Recycle to Read Initiative

We have recently signed up to the ‘Recycle to Read’ initiative. This helps the planet and helps our school turn your batteries, which no longer work, into books for school! We are looking for the following batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, 9V) to be brought into school and placed in the collection point at the school office. Please ensure the contact points have been taped over and all batteries are brought in a plastic bag. If we fill our box and send it back, we have the chance to win £50 in book tokens for school. Each time you drop a battery off, your child can follow the link (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdhcVMztGotW4k4mKQRrB7Z5idx3QzFQOsdlA3rxvz2E7816Q/viewform) to be in with a chance to win their own prize! The competition is open until 14th July. Thank you for your support!

Thank you – Sports for Champions Fundraisers

Well done to all the children who took part in Wednesdays Sports 4 Champions workouts, with professional athlete Leon Baptiste.

A huge thank you to all the bronze, silver and gold fundraisers – you guys raised an incredible £1287.70!

A big congratulations to Jude, Caleb, Helen-Rose and Marcus who were the winning key stage fundraisers! #LovePlover

We can tell the time…

We have been working hard this afternoon using clock faces to show the time. We are confident with o’clock and half past and are becoming more accurate with quarter to and quarter past the hour. Great work today 3H.
