Developing a child’s fine motor skills helps them before they begin to write. Today, we made circles in the glitter and wound up the toys. Please practise drawing circles, by drawing to the left first.

We were very privileged to have the Open the Book team share a story with us today. We learnt about the world, how things are made and the people in the world. The animals and puppets were a favourite with the children.
We would like to thank the team for creating such a lovely assembly for us.
EYFS team
We love to dress up outside, sing, play music and work together.

Today, we mixed flour, hair conditioner and pretended to break eggs into our mixture! We used our make believe, sweet smelling pancake mix, to pretend to make pancakes in our role play area.
We learned a great “Rap” from CBeebies about Pancake Day too!

We have had amazing success with growing our beanstalks from our runner beans!
They look healthy and green, we have looked carefully at their roots, leaves and shoots!

World Book Day will be celebrated on 2nd March 2023. Children are invited to dress up if they wold like to as their favourite book character. Please do not feel any pressure to buy costumes (children can wear uniform as normal if they wish). Children are also welcome to make a badge, wear a themed t-shirt or make an accessory from their favourite story or that their favourite character uses! We will celebrate as a school throughout the day and all children will receive the £1 book token that they can exchange for a World Book Day special edition book, which are available to buy in local bookshops and supermarkets.
Please take a look at the amazing competition detailed below as part of World Book Day!
World Book Day® is helping to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Cressida Cowell’s How to Train Your Dragon with a truly magical prize.
