Festival of Football

A small group of Year 2 pupils represented our school in a Festival of Football at the EcoPower Stadium on Friday afternoon. They played a variety of different types of games, ranging from 3v3 all the way up to 6v6! They adapted to each style of game brilliantly and represented our school with style. The teams won the majority of the games they played and now have ideas of games they can play back on the playground at school. Well done to all six of them and a special mention to Angel and Evannas who won the outstanding player prizes.

2P at The Deep

We all had a fabulous time on our visit to The Deep. The children saw first-hand the negative impact humans are having on our seas and environments. 2P has decided that we must stop this and make a change!

We really enjoyed seeing a whole range of different species but seeing the sawfish and the stingray swimming over our heads was definitely a favourite! Take a look at some of the things we saw in our pictures below.

BSL week competition! Can you sign the alphabet?

Our student ambassadors would like to challenge the whole school to a ‘finger spelling challenge’. We are asking children to learn the sign the alphabet and record themselves and share with myself [email protected]

Our lovely ARCHII team will be the judges and we will have one winner per year group. The winners will each receive an easter egg!

Please find the resources below to help you with this challenge! Good luck everybody!

Beautiful Work This Week

For the love of reading: curation at Green Top!

As part of their Expedition ‘Once Upon a Time’ Green Top have had some beautiful displays created for their reading areas in Nursery and Reception!

Staff Days across the XP Trust

All our staff were getting their heads together and planning for next term’s Expeditions last Friday and Monday – lots of exciting learning and products are on the horizon for students in term 3!

As with all of our Expeditions, students will work within one of our three curriculum seams and staff will do the project first! If it’s good enough for our kids, it’s good enough for us!

Passage Presentations at XP Gateshead

This week, G28 were the first year at XPG to complete their ‘Passage’ – these are presentations to a panel where they reflect on their learning journey, discuss examples of their work, and talk about how they are prepared for next steps in learning and GCSEs.
