These superstars have blown me away with their home learning. A fantastic example of leading their own learning. So proud of them! 10 crew coins for ‘getting smart’.

Year 4 showed great courage today when they embarked upon their skipping journey! Adele came to teach us the fundamental skills required to be able to skip in many different ways. Over the next few months, we plan to perfect these initial skills and then learn even more ways to skip than we already have. In June, we will be even more courageous when we take on the competition at a Skipping Festival where we will display craftsmanship and quality!
Let’s keep skipping, smiling and supporting each other folks. We will all be experts in no time!

This morning, we had a special visitor in EYFS… not only was he a bus driver with a double decker bus, but he was one of our parents! Thank you to Jack and First Travel f. or visiting us today. The children learnt about what a bus driver does, how the bus moves safely, what journeys the buses go on. Then we got to explore the bus and sing songs! This was some children’s first time on a bus and they were so excited! #LovePlover

This morning we have been lucky enough to have a visit from Otis’ dad, Jack, who is a bus driver. Jack brought his bus for us to have a look around and told us all about his job. It was so exciting!

We listened to some African culture and watched people playing the djembes. We explored different beats and rhythms on our knees then on the djembes. We had so much fun – check out our beats! #LovePlover
In crew this week we have been learning about courage. We thought about when we have been brave. We learnt a song about being brave. We made an anchor chart of our ideas and we will be looking to see who shows courage each day – so far children are on our courage crew wall for settling into a new school, being brave and not crying when coming into school, showing resilience to get back up when falling over. #LovePlover
