Trip Trap Music

We have been learning to find the pulse in music. Today, we found the pulse, with drums, for our Trip Trap song. 🎶

Goldilocks

This week we have been looking at the story of Goldilocks and The Three Bears. The children have been absolutely fantastic at retelling the story both for their learning and I provision, drawing pictures and doing role play.

Yesterday in the rain

The rain didn’t stop F2 yesterday! We put our waterproofs and wellies on and out we went for the afternoon. We jumped in puddles, we made mud pies, we climbed, we emptied the water from the sand pit. No rain: No rainbows!

Goldilocks Visit

Yesterday we had a special visitor in EYFS, Goldilocks came to see us! She told us all about what happened in her story, and how she came across the Three Bears house. We asked Goldilocks lots of questions and sang a the Goldilocks song with her.

We can identify partitive nouns…

In English, we have been looking for and suggesting different partitive nouns to show how much of a particular something we have. The children suggested a teaspoon of sugar; a loaf of bread; and a bolt of lightning amongst many others. They were then able to insert missing partitive nouns into a recipe for hot chocolate.

Well done everyone!

F2 Scientists

We wanted to help The Troll and The Billy Goats become friends so we tried to find a way for the Billy Goats to be quiet when crossing the bridge. We predicted which materials would be best to make socks for the Billy Goats and tested them out. Watch our video to see the results!

Pride Of Plover

Hana and Noah got our yellow T-shirts this week! Both children have done some fantastic re-telling of our Three Billy Goats Gruff story. Hana has worked extremely hard on her speech and phonics sounds and Noah has settled beautifully into our class, and has been using the big boy toilet. We are so so proud of you both – keep it up.
