Awesome art!

We have used our observational skills to draw our self-portraits. To start, we took our picture on the Ipad and then had a go at drawing what we could see. After, we learnt some specific art skills to improve what we had originally done. We then used critique to make small improvements for our 3rd draft before doing our final critique and product. You can really see the progress!

What an awesome Hook Week so far…

3H have had a great Hook Week. Monday’s ‘Survival Day’ was fun, challenging and exhausting! Using team work, pupils faced and overcame a range of challenges that meant that they had to consider situations and think outside of the box when following instructions. Everyone enjoyed the day…

The last two days have been very busy too…writing shape poetry and creating a giant jigsaw-like image of a piece artwork by Katsushika Hokusai. Check back tomorrow to see our final pieces. We have definitely worked hard!

Following the trail

This afternoon we set off on a trail around Intake. We followed footsteps and clues on a map. We answered questions and found our way back to school. Well done explorers!

Thank you to all our helpers.

Sorting objects

The focus of our maths learning this week is sorting. Today we listened to a story about sorting and how objects can be sorted in different ways. We practiced sorting vehicles in different ways.

John-Boy got a postcard today for working really hard in this lesson and challenging himself to sort in different ways. Well done John-Boy.
