We are 4H!

Boom…and just like that we are back to our old tricks! Having fun, building new relationships, finding out about each other and creating a positive, growth mindset for the challenges we will face together during our new school year!

Here’s some snap shots from today…

Blind Artist Challenge:

Multi hoop multiplication challenge:

The human knot that we tried was…interesting but we untangled ourselves in the end when we started listening to each other with more care!

Finally, we made statements about ourselves which all linked to someone else in our class. Now we know we all have something in common with at least one other person in our room.

Well done 4H, a busy, tiring but amazing first day back. I cannot wait for tomorrow’s trip to Austerfield!

A Great Start to Year 3

3GS have had a fantastic first day back! This afternoon children have shown great resilience and perseverance in learning to cross-stitch. Threading needles and learning to stitch has been a challenge but everyone has tried their best and we are starting to see our heart patterns emerging.

Welcome Back

We hope you have all enjoyed the summer break. We are looking forward to welcoming you back to school on Tuesday 29th August.

Please remember that our new school day (as per below) starts on our return.

8:45am Start of school day (doors will open at 8:40am and close at 8:45am)
3:15 End of school day (the school gates will open at 3:10pm)

Please remember to park cars safely and with consideration for others at drop-off and pick-up times. The roads surrounding school get very busy at these times. When possible, we suggest parking slightly further away from school and walking in. It’s healthier too!

Remember to keep an eye on the school blog next week to see what the children are getting up to as they settle back into school.

See you on Tuesday!

Author Visit

The children in ARCHI had a lovely visit from Sally Robinson, a local author, who has written a brand new book all about her dog called Archie.
Her lovely book is tells the tale of her very mischievous rescue dog, who is very special because he is deaf. The book has a special message, that we should all ‘Be More Archie’ (#BMA), and not allow the difficulties we face, stop us from having a go at things.

Sally popped into 4G and they got the opportunity to ask Sally some questions about being an author, which really helped them with their cartoon strip writing.

Sally’s brand new book is available on Amazon in paperback and on kindle.

We look forward to the next adventure!
