London residential 14th/15th July 💙

I am asking children to be in school at 8:30am on Thursday 14th July. We aim to set off between 9 and 9:30am. Children will need a comfy pair of clothes to travel in. We will arrive in London at roughly 1:30pm. We will then go on the London Eye for 2:30pm. From there, we will go to Bubba Gump’s for tea and then to see Matilda the musical. We will then head back to the hotel. The following morning, on Friday 15th, we will have breakfast before heading to Legoland to spend the rest of the day exploring. We will set off home at roughly 4pm and call off for KFC on the way home. Children need to wear comfy clothes for this day.We will aim to be back at Plover for 8pm.

Market Research – what sweet would you choose?

As we approach the design phase of our final product, we are learning about the other aspects of bringing a new product to market. Today in our maths lesson, we learnt about Market Research. We then conducted our own market research using tally charts, to find out what are the most popular aspects of sweets for the children in 3G. We will turn our findings into a bar chart, and then use the information to help us design our sweets, that we will be making in the family learning session next week on Wednesday.

Experimenting in Year 5

This week, we had such a fun time learning about germs! We used bread to capture the bacteria growing around school. Everyone wanted to choose the place they thought the highest amount of bacteria would be living. We tested; the photocopier, a reading book, down the back of the radiator, the windows, a child’s hand, the floor and underneath the tables. We put the bread into bags and sealed them. Over the coming fortnight, we will watch how the bacteria multiplies on the bread. Watch this space! #LovePlover
