The children were very excited this morning to see the butterflies fly away although they were sad that we couldnāt keep them as pets.

For our Motherās Day cards we drew butterflies, to link to our expedition. We worked hard to ensure our butterfly was symmetrical and learnt how to use shapes to build up our picture. Mrs Williams was so proud of how beautiful they turned out and how hard we all worked.
We hope all the special mother figures in our lives, have a lovely day celebrating on Sunday!

This week we have been looking at the life cycle of a chick. We used our motor skills to cut out and order the pictures.

Thank you to all the grown ups that came to support our celebration of learning this morning. The children enjoyed sharing their learning and singing with the adults, before shattering some wild flower seeds outside. For our final product, the children got to take home their own packet of seeds, that they decorated themselves.

We had great fun yesterday afternoon, making the most of the sunshine! We went outside to practise our fine motor skills, using chalk to draw caterpillars and butterflies. We then created a hop scotch to practise our gross motor skills.

We revisited the route we took to get to the woods. We looked at photos and made a large model map of the walk we went on. We used directional words and positional language to describe the route. #LovePlover
We have decorated and filled our seed packets with wildflower seeds, in preparation for our Celebration of Learning. #LovePlover
We used our background knowledge around caterpillars and butterflies, to create actions and movements for our dance. We worked on counting and movements to the musics to create our dance routine! #LovePlover
