Well done to all of our KS1 and KS2 children for taking part in the many races today. It was great fun and lovely as always to see so many of our families cheering on the children.
Thank you to Mr Meade for organising the day and a big well done to all of our sprint race winners!
Colour run craziness in Year 4. What a great afternoon yesterday was…thank you to all parents, carers and children who made yesterday as fab as it was!
Year 4 had a brilliant time doing their colour fun run. Well done to all of the children who contributed and especially those who raised money from their sponsorships. What a colourful end to the day!
We have had a busy day exploring the impact of litter in our community and how we can still be Crew even when we leave the school gates. We discussed how learning to live in our community and helping to look after it will make it better for everyone.
By the afternoon, the moment we had all been waiting for had finally arrived and the colour run took place. We had a few nervous children but that soon changed and everyone embraced the event and were slowly turned into mini rainbows! Thank you all so much for contributing towards the event. The money raised will pay for a Christmas treat for everyone!
Year 3 will be doing PE every Wednesday. Children can come to school in their PE kits, as we want to ensure the maximum amount of time possible taking part in the lesson.
Our mini guiding question this week is… how will what I do impact others?
We have raised money for a Xmas surprise and enjoyed our Colour Fun Run! We’ve learnt about the importance of birds and how we can help protect them by making bird feeders for our community.
Thanks,
Mr Meade, Miss Ketteringham, Mrs Ibbertson, Mr Longley
Just a reminder to the Y5/6 football children that we have a football tournament on Intake Playing Field on Sandringham Road 3.30pm-4.45pm.
Can all children bring football boots/trainers, shinpads, waterbottle and PE Kit please.
Parents are to pick up (unless child is walking home on their own) from Intake Sports Hall and Healthy Living Centre, 97 Sandringham Rd, Doncaster DN2 5JA
Firstly, we want to say how immensely proud we are of all our Y1 children and Crew, as their behaviour and work ethic today was superb!
So, we set off on our journey and collected natural resources on the way to create our memory stick.
When we arrived we learnt how to use a map and follow a compass. Shout out to Crew Meade, Crew Pond and Crew Carter for working collaboratively to complete the orienteering challenge (p.s Crew Meade WON!)
After we enjoyed some chocolate goodies and had fun playing on the park with our buddies!
We were ready for lunch before making some tasty treats during the campfire cooking with Leon.
We finished by building an epic Castle? Palace? DEN? And made some shrubbery crowns fit for the Kings and Queens of the jungle!
What a journey to end an incredible year 1 journey, with a beautiful Year 1 Crew! #LovePlover
