We are busy practising for our product launch. There are lines to said – clearly, don’t rush, now say it again only slower seems to be my catch phrase at the moment. The children are very patient with me! Please try and come to the launch – the calendar looks amazing. I am sure all parents will be surprised!

The 5&6 children are enjoying Nativity and looking very cosy in their PJ’s! They are just waiting for their hotdogs and milkshakes. Thank you again to all staff who are staying to support these events to give our children exciting opportunities whilst residing funds for school!
Your child came home with a letter inviting them to a Christmas Movie night yesterday. If your child wishes to join us for this event. Please ensure the reply slip is back in school tomorrow in order to make sure the correct amount of food can be ordered.
This week is assessment week – please remember to encourage your child to be the best they can be but also ensure they do not have too much pressure put upon them. They’ve made a great start!
Well done Olds Cool Crew! 🙂
Year 5 and 6 are getting ready for Christmas and our product launch. We are all hard at work learning the songs as well as the lines we have to say! Assessments are also planned for this week too. Busy, busy busy!
This week is assessment for your child. They will be carrying out practise SATs paper across the key areas of learning in English and Maths. Please support your child this week as they may feel a little more anxious than usual due to this first attempt at the full range of Y6 tests.
Thank you for your support

Year 6 just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who bought some chocolate concrete this afternoon. We are so grateful as we managed to raise a significant contribution towards our trip!
Thank you again! We hope you enjoyed it and we hope to see you all next time!
Also, thank you to Adele our lovely cook for making the chocolate crunch for us and supporting us!

Well done to those children who got a shout out in yesterday’s crew assembly! We are so proud!
Future poets exist in 6H. All pupils have worked so hard over the last two days to write their own poetry about tigers. We used William Blake’s The Tyger as an inspirational example. As a result, the writing which has been produced over the last 48 hours has been thoughtful considerate and informative. Well done 6H.
A lady from DMBC has come into school today to deliver a session about turtles which links into our learning expedition – ‘It’s our World, what are you going to do about it?’ Obviously plastic pollution in the oceans is a very hot topic at the minute so this opportunity was too good to miss!
Mrs Haycock’s class and Miss Brogan’s were the first to participate. The classes were very quiet so I think the talk and the craft session were enjoyed.
The Olds Cool Crew (Class 6H) would like to make a special mention for one of their members…Keanna.
She has been so busy this week creating a New Forest cicada collage. The work she has produced is phenomenal and is so life-like. People who have seen it, have had to touch it to believe it is made from paper!
Well done Keanna!
