Beautiful Work This Week

XP Trust’s first ever Tag Rugby Tournament!

Last week, we hosted our first ever Trust Sport Tournament for three of our primary schools. Hosted at Club Doncaster near XP, the three schools competed in a series of games of tag Rugby – here are some of the exciting highlights!

Yomiuri Shimbun journalists visit XP!

Iain Boothroyd and Kazu Makita from the Yomiuri Shimbun, the most read daily newspaper in Japan came to XP to find out more about what we do! Alicia and Freya were awesome ambassadors for the school and gave our guests a tour of all the beautiful work created by our students. Mr Makita is writing an editorial about XP, which will appear in the newspaper in Japan!

Welcoming our first delegation of the academic year

This week we had our first collection of visitors from all over the country at XP! They learned about how Crew, Expeditions and how we design our curriculum. Our student ambassadors were terrific and the delegates really enjoyed their time in Crew sessions!

Halloween disco

Plover welcomes you to the halloween disco on Monday 30th October. Entry cost £1.50. Please drop and pick children up from their class door. Check your child’s halloween key stage poster to find out the start and end time.

Year 6 SATs revision half-term competition has been launched! 💙

If you want to be in with a chance of winning this huge sweet, crisp and pop hamper from Mandam-Intake then you need to get involved with the SATs revision that has been set on Google classroom this half-term. For every revision activity you engage with, you will be given a raffle ticket. I will then draw a winner on Monday 30th October and the winner will be able to take this amazing hamper home!

FREE CHILD TICKETS DONCASTER ROVERS v SUTTON UNITED – SATURDAY 14th OCTOBER

Doncaster Rovers are providing ONE FREE CHILD TICKET (13 and under), plus you can bring up to two adults with you for just £10 each.

At the game you will be able to join Donny Dog in his kennel and play FIFA or giant Jenga, do some colouring and take part in skills challenges with his friends  from the Foundation before watching the players in action.

Please note for both these games you must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 or over (with a ratio of 1 adult per three children)

All you need to ask your parents to do is:

1.    Go to tickets.clubdoncaster.co.uk and either log in or register (please each person who must be registered you cannot select multiple tickets under one account)

2.    Now go to home tickets and select the relevant game and area.  This offer is only available in blocks F10 – F14.

3.    Once you go to your basket you will need to assign owners. Next to each ticket it says owner and a name. Click on the pencil and assign owners so each person you have set up has a ticket in their name. It will not let you have more than one ticket in one name.

4.    After this has been done, below the tickets is a coupon box. Add the coupon code to claim the offer DRFCSUTTON1410.

5.    Proceed to check out and pay for your tickets.  Please note your ticket(s) must be purchased/claimed by Friday October 13 (Doncaster Rovers v Sutton)

Plover Y5/6 are Tag Rugby Champions

Huge congratulations to the Y5/6 Tag Rugby team for winning the Activ8 Tag rugby tournament at Tollbar Rugby Club.

2nd game was a strongly battled 0-0 against Tranmoor – Player of the match, Hilihang!

3rd game 4-0 win against Southfield – Player of the match Tommy W.

4th game 6-0 win against Hawthorn – Player of the match Kai C!

Every single one of them should be super proud of their bravery, confidence, respect and skills!

Thank you to the parents who transported children too, it couldn’t happen without. #LovePlover

Please enter our art competition- prizes to be won!

We are challenging ALL of our pupils to enter our half-term art competition. We would love you to create a piece of art to display proudly in our school staff room. You can create any piece of artwork you like! Please ensure any contributions are given to your class teacher on the 31st October who will pass them on to myself and the winners will be notified on the 1st November. There will be numerous prizes: the most creative, the brightest, the most unique and an overall winner!

We hope you all get involved and we cannot wait to see all your beautiful art creations!
