I think we need to work on making the shape of a letter P with our bodies. Maybe more of a lean to the side is required guys!

In time to read crew, Year 6 have been creating book reviews based on their recent reads. We have filled our new book corners with these reviews to inspire our friends to read our favourite books. Our challenge is to add a range of genres to our reviews. Once children have read a book recommended by a friend, they are going to add their own mini reviews on post it notes.

Our select group of pupils have enjoyed special tutoring to help them improve their reading throughout the year. This is done on the laptop but they never see their tutor! Our end-of-year celebration allowed the pupils to celebrate their successes and finally meet the person they had been talking to all year! Great reading from everyone!
We have been working with Doncaster Libraries in developing this summer’s Doncaster Reading Adventure. Children can pick up the map and stickers from their local library to encourage reading for pleasure over the summer break.
