We Care Crew and Safer Internet Day

Yesterday, in crew we revisited online safety and refreshed our minds of who we should tell. We then linked We Care crew about how to be kind, as well as children explaining how to regulate their emotions! #LovePlover

Safer Internet Day

Yesterday, we learned about keeping safe online. We know to ā€˜STOP, CLOSE and TELLā€™, if we see a pop-up appear. In the story we saw what happened when children donā€™t do this. All the children now know what to do if they see a pop-up on their screen. They have brought home a gremlin to place near their device as a reminder.

Caring Crew

Over the last couple of weeks, we have been learning about looking after our mental health as well as our physical health. We read a story about a colour monster whose emotions were all mixed up. He had help to sort the emotions into jars. His emotions were all different colours. We have discussed the colours we feel for different emotion words we have learned. Mrs Bubb talked about an emotion and if we had the colour that represented that emotion we made matksbon the paper with it. We all saw different colours for different emotions.

This morningā€™s crew was mindful colouring. We all really enjoyed sitting quietly and exercising our mind to be calm and quiet. We are learning to #bekind to ourselves.

Safer Internet Day

Crew Pickering used our session to talk about how it makes us feel on the inside when we see something online that makes us feel scared, unhappy or worried. We discussed what a trusted adult was and gave examples of who our trusted adults would be. Being kind online was the only way we should be!

Caring crew!

In our RSE crew, Crew Blackham discussed our feelings and how our feelings can sometimes change just like a rollercoaster! We looked at how we can identify those feelings on ourselves and others and how we can help one another.

We made a pledge to share our feelings with our loved ones and our peers!

We Care Wednesday!

We have been thinking a lot about our emotions and learning new words to describe them.

Today in crew, we thought about the times when we have have felt proud, delighted, upset and angry. To show our understanding we played the ā€˜corners gameā€™ and listened to the scenario and decided which emotion the person in the scenario was feeling. We enjoyed it so much and were so good at it that some of the children even shared a scenario for us to guess the emotion they felt. Tommy was really angry and upset when his toy dinosaur got broken.
