Super maths work!

6B and 6HA worked together this morning during maths. The children identified areas which they wished to improve and then worked in groups on their specific focus area. It was amazing to see the two children coming together and working hard to master the skills.
Keep up the hard work Year 6- we are so proud of you!

Attendance Winners

Well done for acheiving the highest attendance in the 5/6 phase last week.  Let’s keep it up and aim for 100% this week.

We have had a great day and some of our class memebers wanted to give shout outs to their peers to recognise the hard work put in by them today…

Shout outs to:

Kyren – dividing fractions by other fractions.

Savannah – improved positivity.

Cailey – she just helps everyone when they need her.

Adam – all round good friend.

Aisha – supporting others when they are feeling low.

Crew shout out winners!

A huge well done to the children who received a crew shout out yesterday for either their spelling scores, arithmetic scores,  the amount of times they’ve read at home, their time on frog learning and read theory or for following the Plover pledge abs being super stars! It’s great to see so many new faces and they are all so proud of themselves! Keep it up 5/6!

Busy morning in 6B!

This morning, 6B have been working on improving their explanation texts in Literacy and recapping fractions in maths. They have been working really hard and I am extremely proud!

We have had another busy week which has led to me not posting an update! World Book Day was great to see in school with all the costumes. I  was Dr Dog which some of parents might remember. The children completed a great piece of writing in class. I am hoping to have it made into a book so everyone can enjoy reading the letters.

Brilliant World Book Day

What a great day!  Children have been dressed as their favourite characters from books.  We’ve shared our favourite authors and genres and even had stories read to us by other class teachers.

Shout out to Josh and Cailey as well as Savannah and Kyren for producing great work.  Well done everyone.

I am so proud of Year 6!

The children have worked so hard during assessment week and I am extremely proud! I want to thank the children for their perseverance and commitment during revision sessions and assessments and I would also like to thank parents/carers for supporting their learning at home! Please keep it up! You are smashing it Year 6!

Early Morning Revision Opportunity

Has your child told you that they are welcome to arrive at school from 08:15 onward?

As of this week, we are providing the chance for any Year 6 pupil to come in a little earlier in the morning if they wish to.  This is to give them the opportunity to access revision tools such as Read Theory and My Mini Maths on the build up to their official exams in May.
