Back into the swing!

We are back at school and enjoying the routine as well as the learning. The pupils have been shown how to use accelerated reader which they can access from home. This is designed to improve their reading so please encourage them to access it.

Great WW2 portraits and Hook Week!

Year 5 have had a great hook week. We have made our classrooms immersive and had a giggle when we completed a portraitof a friend as a WW2 soldier. The comments were fab – my ears aren’t that big! My head’s too small! My eyes are wonky! It was great to see the pupils enjoying themselves, working together and having fun.

Nearly there!

Morning everybody! Last day at home so make sure you have caught up on any home learning you may have missed. I am looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow, it will be a 4 day week and also be full of hook week activities.

Yellow t-shirt winner 5K

I’ve had some brilliant work submitted online so I would like to give a shout out to Darcie, Dalton, Ashton and Mia for this. They have done some great research for me telling me where Doncaster was bombed and who in their family served in WW2.

The yellow t shirt winner for 5K is William D – great research, great participation and commitment to his learning.

Well done on line workers!

Well done 5K  – I can see a lot of you are online and have completing your learning. You have made me very proud of you. I have just been writing down your book bands for when we get back to school so you can have a reading book for in class. Keep going!
