KS1 Updates

Good evening everyone.

Just a quick reminder that Wednesday is Christmas Jumper day in school and also our Christmas dinner.  Thursday is party day, children can come to school in their party clothes, but also be mindful that children will be playing out at break so layers will be needed!

Y1/2C were pleased with the book they unwrapped as part of the ‘book flood’, thank you all for encouraging your children to read.  Let’s keep the prizes coming.

Pride of Plover.

We would like to send a massive congratulations to this week’s Pride of Plover winner. His determination to want to be the best he can be and his enthusiasm for learning is infectious. He has demonstrated for many weeks that he simply ‘gets’ what he needs to do to be the most successful learner he can be.

Well done Tommy!

Attendance Treat

My class enjoyed their MacDonald’s attendance treat today. They are already excited about winning the next one. They obviously love their food as next time they are wanting KFC or Dunkin Donuts!

Thanks 1/2 C you have been ace attenders, I’m sure this will continue as you seem to really enjoy coming to school each day.

I’d also like to give a shout out to my fab parents for supporting and encouraging good attendance. 👍

Our Yellow T shirt winner this week is Skyla. She has shown a fabulous attitude to her learning, trying hard in all lessons. Keep up this positive attitude Skyla.

Book flood!

Well done KS1 children for continuing to read more than normal at home and grown ups who encourage this. Another bauble has been earned today and put on the virtual Christmas tree… let’s see if we can get a flood of more books recorded and changed tomorrow!🙌🏼📚

Here is Lena (an avid reader) in 1M opening our 2nd present this morning!

Well done KS1, keep reading!

Book Flood!

As part of our Christmas reading incentive, the children are being encouraged to read even more than usual. For every 30 books that are read in the Key Stage, the children earn a bauble for the virtual tree and a real present for the all of the classes to share. The first present was earned yesterday and we are well on our way to earning our 2nd and even 3rd present already! Well done Key Stage 1. Let’s see if you can earn all of the presents and decorate our virtual tree! Here is Johnny opening our first present:

Well done Key stage 1!
