Pride of Plover!
Well done to Isla and Ianis, for being awarded the yellow T-shirt for this week for their wonderful behaviour in the setting, including during the lunch time!
Bubbles and Maths!
We used our Numicon pieces, to blow bubbles through. We tried to get 4 bubbles from the Numicon piece 4!
We also tried different sizes of shapes to blow bubbles through too.
Dragons, dragons, dragons…..
In Foundation 1, we learned how to mix yellow and blue to make green. Now, we can mix green independently and paint our dragon ideas.
Exploring fruit
We have been exploring fruit in our play. We looked at oranges and lemons and what they smelled and looked like. We then used them to make pretend tea. We also tried to guess what was hidden in the blocks of ice. We watched the ice melt to find out if we were right.

We’re going on a pair hunt
We have been learning about pairs in maths. We can sort objects into pairs and some of us can count in 2s too. We went on a hunt for pairs around school. There were lots!
Healthy Eating
As part of our Healthy Eating week we have had a delivery of different fruits to try. Today we have tasted blueberries and kiwis. We loved the hairy feel of the kiwis and the taste made us pull funny faces. The blueberries were a big hit too. I wonder
Working hard
Well done to our two certificate winners today. Charlie has worked very hard in drawing his dragon and was delighted to get a postcard. Oscar listened really well in the language activity and used all the new words that he had learnt. Well done boys. We are proud of you.

What does pomegranate taste like?
Thank you to Mrs Kibble for supplying us with some different fruit. We tried pomegranate for the first time today. The children were fascinated by the seeds and how crunchy they were. Some of the children loved them and would like to eat them again at home.
We will try another fruit tomorrow. I wonder which one it will be.

Healthy eating
Next week we will be learning all about healthy eating and we will be having a special delivery of different foods. We are looking forward to eating the food, printing with some different food, and learning about it.
Maybe you could try some different fruit this weekend and tell us all about it next week.
