Party Games – F2M Democracy

Our key text this week has been ‘It’s My Birthday’. Yesterday, the children were able to work collaboratively to sequence the animals and match the ingredients they used to make a birthday cake. Today, we discussed how people are different and like different things. We talked about different birthday presents and which party games we like. We voted and created a bar chart. It was lovely to see the children continue the party games in provision! #LovePlover

Working hard making cards

Today we have been working hard making cards, drawing ourselves and writing our names. We read the story ‘It’s my birthday’ then shared how birthdays make us feel and things we’ve have done at our birthdays! #LovePlover

F2BP party time

We had lots of fun at our party.
We learnt to be courageous, doing forfeits in pass the parcel. Some children found these tricky and we talked about how we needed to be courageous.

Crew Party in F2M

We introduced our first Plover character trait today at our Crew party – courage! We showed great courage to join in our party games and do forefeits infront of our friends. We played musical statues, pass the parcel, musical bumps, had party food and finished with the balloon game! #LovePlover

Making sandwiches ready for the party

Tomorrow is our party. We are going to be learning about courage as we play different games. Today we made sandwiches using our fine motor skills. All the children were able to spread the margarine and jam really well. They are looking forward to eating them tomorrow.

Making Jam Sandwiches

This afternoon we enjoyed making some jam sandwiches ready for our crew party! First we washed out hands, then spread the butter, next week spread the jam, finally we cut the slice of bread in half to make a sandwich. #LovePlover

Cake Collage

We created a cute CAKE collage just like the story ‘Cake’ we have been reading during hook week for our expedition – Marvellous Me! #LovePlover

What is in the surprise box?

We opened up the box to find out what was inside. There were lots of objects and the children decided that they were for a birthday party. We shared the story “Cake” to hook us into the rest of hook week and painted and collaged the cake for our display. We talked about the different textures.
