This morning Year 5 have built bridges using spaghetti, play-doh and lasagne sheets.
This week Year 5 will be taking part in Project in a Box. We will be looking at all the different jobs that are involved in creating, buying, selling and looking after the buildings we use. Today we worked in small groups to figure out how to build the tallest tower, with limited resources and money.
Year 5 have had a fab morning working together to figure out how to build the tallest tower, with limited resources.
We have used our observational skills to draw our self-portraits. To start, we took our picture on the Ipad and then had a go at drawing what we could see. After, we learnt some specific art skills to improve what we had originally done. We then used critique to make small improvements for our 3rd draft before doing our final critique and product. You can really see the progress!
We will also be learning about the history of King Charles journey to the throne!
We used Austin’s butterfly to draw our lovely faces! The children drew their face free hand, then critiqued and copied their selfie, then critiqued and made improvements before completing their final portrait! Watch this space for what their beautiful work will go on… #LovePlover
Two of the activities Y1 enjoyed in Mr Meade’s class today were Food Tasting and Fruit Bowl Art!
The children had to use their senses to predict this different flavours of crisps and biscuits!
Then drew a healthy colourful fruit bowl in their art books! #LovePlover
