In English and Expedition today the children worked collaboratively, first to think about the characters in our book Let the Children March and then to think about questions to ask Rosa Parks. They were excited to send her text messages and were thrilled to she her responses.

PE! ⚽️
In our PE lesson today we practiced passing the hall between the cones. To level up from the skills we had learnt last week the children then added space between their passes.

Questions for Rosa!
This afternoon we were “texting” Rosa Parks, asking her questions about her life. The children were so excited when it showed Rosa was responding to them. Here are some of our questions.

We are artists
The children have worked hard to create a fiery painting depicting the Great Fire of London. We used a variety of techniques to create the end product.
What do you think of our final pieces?
New book day
Today in Phonics, my group started their new book! The children were expecting a story about hamsters but instead found out it was an information book about how to look after them.
A great first day of reading our book guys, keep it up this week!
Mrs Lewis
Super Stars 🌟
A big THANK YOU to:
Lola for being the kindest girl I know. Lola always does her best to make sure everyone is ok all the time. She is helpful and caring.
Kobin is extremely hard working. He tried so hard, no matter what the subject is. He is amazing!

Play Time Fun
Y1 & Y2 shared, played, exercised, enjoyed and importantly looked after their new playground equipment today! #LovePlover
Family Reading in KS1
It was lovely to welcome and see so many KS1 grown ups spend time with their children this afternoon, to share a love for reading. Miss Ketteringham was a fab story teller and Mr Meade needed a little help from Bertie Bird! #LovePlover

Great Fire of London diary writing
This week we began our diary writing. We are pretending to be Samuel Pepys and we are using our knowledge of the Great Fire of London to recount what we saw. We did a gallery walk and used our senses to help come up with exciting words for our writing.
Stay tuned to find out how our entries go!
