Celebrating Childhood Day

6T had a lovely start to the morning. We had a silent discussion, where we moved around the room and wrote something kind about each member of our Crew. At the end of the session, we returned to our places and enjoyed reading all the wonderful things that our Crew mates had said about us. #LovePlover

Y6 on strike!

Year 6 have been learning about the mining strike this afternoon. They have learned about the many different reasons that people might go on strike. We then looked specifically at why miners went on strike. The children then thought of something they felt passionately about and made their own placards about this. #LovePlover

Mining Jobs

Year 6 had a busy morning – they were learning about the roles in the mines. The children then read the job descriptions (and the amount of money that these jobs paid!) before acting out the different roles. We are looking forward to incorporating this into our stories this week. #LovePlover
