Learning about coding!

5K have been busy learning about coding and making a sprite move. We then applied these skills to write instructions on how to make a jam sandwich. Mrs Keegan followed their instructions to the letter so be sure to ask them how it went!!

To record your child reading to an adult at home, please write your child’s name in the title box and a short comment with your name. To add a comment, you must click the plus sign in the bottom right hand corner of your child’s class padlet.

If your child cannot read to an adult one night for whatever reason and they want to, please ask them to see me and they can read to me at break or dinner 🙂

Thank you everyone!

KS2 Sports Day

Hi KS2 Crew

Just to clarify that KS2 (Years 3,4,5,6) sports day is on Thursday 1st September. We ask parents to arrive from 9.15am and to be seated for 9.30am. The children will then come onto the field for 9.30am ready to start their sports day activities. We also ask for children to just wear their normal PE (white t-shirt, dark shorts/joggers and trainers.)

Any questions feel free to email Mr Meade on… [email protected]

5/6 Reading for pleasure competition! An air up is up for grabs!

We are eager to encourage reading for pleasure and reading at home in Year 5/6. So the children have spoken and there will be two prizes (one for a Year 5 child and one for a Year 6 child). You will be emailed your child’s Padlet to record when they have read to you. Of course we understand parents are busy and some nights it will be impossible to listen to your child read. Therefore children can come to school to read to me (Miss Blackham) at breaks and dinners and I will record that I have listened to them. The children who read the most will be entered into the prize draw to win a bottle. We encourage children to read as much as possible but we will only be counting one entry per day to make it fair. If you have any questions, please email [email protected]

Padlets will be emailed out to you by Friday. Let’s get reading 🙂
