Yesterday, Y3 and Y4 enjoyed a day of science. Expert Mrs Pantegi came to speak to the children about deafness and how the ear works. As well as this, we explored how sound is made and how sound travels.
3B have spent the day learning all about sound. We have learnt about how sound travels and have experimented with making sounds at different pitch and volume. We were also lucky enough to have a visit from a member of our hearing impaired unit, who shared their knowledge on how sound is heard and ways technology has developed to support those who are hearing impaired.

Mr Meade’s and Miss Farrow’s clubs merged on Friday and enjoyed a Harry Potter themed Sports club! All the children worked superbly together. #LovePlover
We have recently signed up to the ‘Recycle to Read’ initiative. This helps the planet and helps our school turn your batteries, which no longer work, into books for school! We are looking for the following batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, 9V) to be brought into school and placed in the collection point at the school office. Please ensure the contact points have been taped over and all batteries are brought in a plastic bag. If we fill our box and send it back, we have the chance to win £50 in book tokens for school. Last week, Crew Brown were celebrating ‘Childhood’ day by encouraging children to support each other with their mental health. Each child had their name on a piece of paper and others wrote kind words about them to take home. It was a lovely little activity to spread some positivity and smiles. Well done Crew!

Today our book club started to read our mystery book, Space Blasters: Suzie saves the universe. We’ve enjoyed learning about the authors and exploring the map of the spaceship and can’t wait to get stuck into chapter one.
