You produced such lovely poems when we held our Autumn handwriting competition, I thought it would be a good idea to update our display with poems that reflect the coming season – Spring.
Choose an appropriate poem from the selection attached to this blog and copy it out beautifully, using your best handwriting and presentation.
You can decorate it and use colour if you wish.
Please give completed poems to Mrs Graves by Monday 6th March.

The children loved tasting the pasta they had cooked which included onions, carrots, peppers and cheese!
Before half term we planted 3 bean seeds to test what a plant needed to grow and be healthy. We made our predictions of what we thought would happen. Today we discovered what had happened and then critiqued our predictions.
We found that all of the seeds had started to grow because they all had most of their basic needs met. The seed in the cupboard didn’t have any sunlight and was very different to the others because it was growing white. We discovered that when a plant makes its own energy from the sun, it makes it turn green. We have started an unplanned second experiment to see if we can rescue this plant and see if we can see signs of it turning green.

Thank you to Adele for teaching our children how to cook a vegetarian meal – we can’t wait to try the pasta bake! #LovePlover
Some of the children in Year 2, have been working on their sketching skills. As part of the expedition, Ready Steady Grow, the children were inspired by Van Gogh’s sunflowers to sketch a drooping sunflower. We were really impressed by their perseverance and creativity today.
