It was lovely to end the term with some of our families to share a coffee, snack and story together! Bertie Bird helped Mr Meade read ‘Perfectly Norman’, alongside the awesome Mr Chandler who was in assistance! #LovePlover

We had an amazing celebration with so many pupils and grown ups. It was amazing to see the hall so full! Children were busy sharing their books, their learning and their knowledge from our latest expedition. There was the opportunity to show off art and craft skills as well as very loud percussion playing! Strangely, there was also a very big queue at the pancake station! There were lots of smiling faces and busy people! Thank you to everyone for joining us.

We had an awesome visitor today. James told us all about his job as a fire fighter. We even got to try his PPE on! Mrs Bubb is thinking of a career change! 😉 The children asked some great questions and clearly found his job very interesting. It was lovely to hear that James always wanted to be a firefighter when he was little and that he worked hard to achieve it. #aspirations
It was a great way to end Aspirations Week with a visit from a brave firefighter and two kind nurses, to teach us some important life lessons! #LovePlover
Leo and his mum very kindly brought in some donuts for the whole of Y1 to celebrate their birthdays – very kind! #LovePlover
We talked about what we can do if we are feeling lonely. Some of us decided dancing was a good one. Check out our crazy dances! Then we put Happy on and just loved being together and not being lonely 🙂
Year 1 and 2 would love to invite families to visit the presentation of learning tomorrow (Thur 30th March 2023) at 3:15 – 4pm.
The children will be showcasing their learning, talking through their books and a chance to cook a pancake with the children.
Children will need to be collected as normal and then walk around to the school hall.
We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!
Today, we were scientists when we had the Big Talk. We can use scientific vocabulary when talking about body parts at school. We know which parts are private- there are 4. Can you adults name them all?
As part of our Aspirations Week, a nurse visited and told us all about her job and showed us some equipment.
BOTH visitors commented on what polite, friendly and smart children we were. Mrs Bubb was so proud!
Thank you to all the children that entered in to the Spring handwriting competition, we have had some beautiful poems handed in, that show so much care and effort.
Congratulations to the winners and enjoy reading your books:
