To cool us down this afternoon we enjoyed some ice cream! The children have worked so hard this term so definitely deserved this treat.

Miss Todd was super proud of Benson yesterday when he taught her all about the different kinds of dinosaurs that used to walk our planet. He knew the names of the different types of dinosaurs and could recall facts about them.

Well done to Borimir, Josie and Maria who have worked really hard in maths today with their doubling and odd/even numbers. Almina and Dolunay also got postcards for being super kind and helping their peers.

We have recently signed up to the ‘Recycle to Read’ initiative. This helps the planet and helps our school turn your batteries, which no longer work, into books for school! We are looking for the following batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, 9V) to be brought into school and placed in the collection point at the school office. Please ensure the contact points have been taped over and all batteries are brought in a plastic bag. If we fill our box and send it back, we have the chance to win £50 in book tokens for school. Each time you drop a battery off, your child can follow the link (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdhcVMztGotW4k4mKQRrB7Z5idx3QzFQOsdlA3rxvz2E7816Q/viewform) to be in with a chance to win their own prize! The competition is open until 14th July. Thank you for your support!
Today we have created our own rockets. We persevered with masking tape, glue and split pins to stick our rockets together and then painted them. We then used our imagination to decide where our rocket would fly too.
A special shoutout to Tommy, Almina and Sreelakshmi who worked extra hard on their rockets and made them unique .

In provision this week we have been exploring stomp rockets. We have been testing how far we can make our rockets fly depending if we used a lot or a little bit of force.

In crew yesterday we worked together to create a stain glass window rocket. We used different coloured paper to stick onto some cling film and have been enjoy how the sun shines through them.
